Throwing codes

I really hope they get the water issue figured out. It seems to be a root cause to most things electrical. I like to run my car through touchless car washes often to keep it clean.

Perhaps the next best thing is a list of things we should ask them to proactively waterproof, like the ECU box, HVAC controls, etc.
 
Yes...I second this. Watching anything that has to do with these cars and water.
It took a while, but we got there. A Lotus engineer from the factory eventually located a faulty connector somewhere on the loom. This was enough to fool the ECU into calculating an O2 sensor issue, which then threw up the engine light. I’m happy that Lotus found the issue, so they can knowledge share with dealers who may be trying to diagnose a similar problem with a customer’s car.
 
Update to who's interested:
Dealer confirmed it's the O2 sensor. Apparently, there was some communication with Lotus HQ too. Mechanic said they have to get approval from HQ before starting any work since they want to know everything about problems found - guess that's a good thing.
New sensor was ordered (In stock 🥲) and is due to be installed in the next week
see if you can get the part numbers for the O2 Sensors. This seems to be a common fault w the Emira

Have the dealer check with the factory before they replace the O2 sensors. They should have on record the fix for my car, which they should at least try.
 
Hey guys, so at the end of the day what happend?, I have the P1014 code... After installing the Milltek Valve Controller did you needed to do the Relearn process with dealership, or just plug this thing and everything was ok?.

Just plug it in and away you go. I don’t believe there are any sensors that far back on the exhaust system that would throw a code due to the controller being installed.

There are. ECU checks if the valve operates as expected. If you get this code after installing the controller the ECU doesn't get the correct "fuzzed" values from the Milltek controller.
Depending on what kind of dealer you're working with you could try calibrating with the controller installed to get the Milltek to match the ECU (?). Otherwise I'd remove the controller, calibrate the valve and hopefully get the ECU to match what Milltek sends.
Seems your calibration was a little off in the first place
 
Well here we go again. Made it about 800km.
O2 Bank 2 (the third one total now) left us today.

Live data shows it’s voltage stuck. P223D is being reported again. No O2 related codes yet, but last time they only showed up at a later time too.

HOWEVER I come with good news - well maybe:
Im pretty certain it’s water related, since it happened again only after giving the car a wash.

I thought I recalled it happening the first time after a wash, but wasn’t sure.

Second time it definitely was after a wash.

I put off washing the car after the last fix up until today (And that’s a hard time for any DV owner), because the thought stayed with me and I wanted to confirm. Here we are. Washed -> code a few minutes later.

It might be a big coincidence but I hardly believe that.

Also got the parking brake service alert, but I’m not 100% certain that’s also related to the above. Both times they happened I was stationary for a few minutes, while in the car. Ignition off. After some time the display turns off and turning the power on then seems to trigger the alert - I’ll try to reproduce that tomorrow.

can you check the Short Term Fuel Trims (%) when idle for 1-2min?

In my case I had water ingress in the ECU which shorted out and destroyed one lambda sensor on bank 2, same position, each time I washed my car or got into heavy rain. Solution was some aftermarket sealing and waterproofing by my dealer. Lotus didn't have a official solution at that time, this might have changed by now.

Thanks a lot for the help really appreciated, I uploaded a video to YouTube of the readings, I got no clue what they mean to be honest.
Link: I might go to a local shop that works on all other lotus’s (2 exige 430 cup and 1 Elise 250 cup, there are no more haha) to change the sensor and seal the ECU properly if that’s the issue, but I don’t think it will be easy for them to figure it out what you already did, hopefully haha
 
In time for the holidays lit up like a Christmas tree lol damn, it has reduced power, the sound from the exhaust was way off, I reset the codes and it started normally but I parked it and took my folks RS6 perf luckily they’re abroad so I wasn’t stranded, will look into it here and I’ll take it in to the local shop.
