Yep, totally agree, is a shame but at least you can say you've had one and hopefully you managed to enjoy a few miles in it. Any way have you any plans to replace it with anything else.
Ah, I see, that makes sense. There was a thread on Pistonheads recently where a guy rejected a Porsche at just under six months, I think it took a bit of pushing by him but he did get a refund, though I think there was a slight deduction for the mileage he'd done.
Wow, that’s not good at all, as your in Scotland, I’m guessing it was in for repair at Parks in Hamilton, what have they got to say with regards to the way ahead for repairs, have they offered to carryout the fix? I don’t think it’s great that they’ve given you back a car that sounds (no pun...
Just saw this advertised, looks a lot like Shmee's old car. I see the drivers seat bolster is looking a bit worse for wear.

Thanks for the information KitKat, I did wonder what it was all about, I had this recall done before I picked my car up, it only had eleven miles on the clock and the canister was already 60g over weight:oops:
I was just looking at the Emira parts catalogue and noticed they list the air filter fits the following i4 variants
(AMG 2.0L 400HP Engine, AMG 2.0L 360HP Engine, AMG 2.0L 416HP Engine)
I'm guessing the parts catalogue must be a few years old now, but I wonder if at some point they envisaged...
Looks to be available in the UK for £27 probably plus VAT, if that's correct it looks quite good value.

The problem when you ask a question like this is your unlikely to get an unbiased answer, as you can see already from the reply's, V6 owners are going to say the V6 is the one to get and i4 owners are going to say the same about the i4. I really think you need to try and get a drive in both and...
When I called up the service department and explained I was having difficulty engaging reverse, the service manager was very good, he told me there was an optional software update (not a recall) that was available that would improve gear selection, I asked if it did anything else and was told no...
You only get the three booklets, the full owners manual is online but if you want a printed version have a look at this and drop Martyn a message and he will sort one out for you.

Cheers for that, I've just rang them and it appears the update was released three days after they carried out the PDI on my car, so I just missed out on it. So they've booked it in for the update in a couple of weeks time.
That's an interesting thought about the power bar only going up to 360bhp, here's a picture of mine and you can see Its indicating 389bhp, but you can also see the power bar does extends a little further to probably somewhere around 400bhp, maybe someone else can confirm when they see 360 on...
Could I ask how proactive are Lotus regarding these recalls/updates, are they contacting you or is it a case of you having to contact the dealer to find out about them?
Popped round to see a mate today, his 600LT is stunning but the Emira doesn’t look out of place next to it. If you take into account the invoice price for the 600LT was just over 300k the Emira looks a bit of a bargain.
Big thanks to the guys who posted pictures of their cars with the black badges/wheel centres, something I’d not thought about, but after seeing the pictures I really like it, in fact so much so I’ve ordered the parts today👍
I know these things are personal, but wow, that looks great, I wouldn’t have that that such a small change would make so much of a difference, think I’ll be putting an order in for them now.
Well to bring this to a conclusion, collected the car today and it’s great to be back in a Lotus, things have definitely moved on from the S1 Elise and Exige I had. Anyway here’s the obligatory photos.
Well picked my new car today and thought I would add to this thread, I’m guessing as it’s a new car it would have had all the latest software installed. Couple of quick impressions, manual gear change seems good, certainly seems quicker than the video posted on “Harry’s garage” but I’ve no...
That's interesting, do you have any details for the update? I'm due to pick my car up next week and would be handy if I could contact them to see if this has been done. Thanks.
That's a great combination you've got there, mine was a 4.3 which was a great stable mate alongside the Ferrari. In hindsight the only two cars I ever regret selling are the Exige and the Vantage and even my wife agrees with that as they were her two favorite cars as well.
It certainly was a great car, I owned it for about 13 years but found I was using it less and less, therefore decided to sell, the only thing was I couldn't think of what to replace it with and then the Emira was launched, so that was that, well almost.
I was also very lucky I had this to play...
