Worth bearing in mind that your car insurance might cover you for lost keys, I’m with Admiral and they cover up to £500 for lost keys.

I think you might need sports mode selected, though not 100% sure as it's still all a bit new to me:)

That's interesting, I didn't know the China i4 was 416HP, but would make sense when you see the parts catalogue.

I was just looking at the Emira parts catalogue and noticed they list the air filter fits the following i4 variants (AMG 2.0L 400HP Engine, AMG 2.0L 360HP Engine, AMG 2.0L 416HP Engine) I'm guessing the parts catalogue must be a few years old now, but I wonder if at some point they envisaged...

Which drive mode are you in, I could be wrong but I think it only works in sport and track.

The problem when you ask a question like this is your unlikely to get an unbiased answer, as you can see already from the reply's, V6 owners are going to say the V6 is the one to get and i4 owners are going to say the same about the i4. I really think you need to try and get a drive in both and...

Cheers for that, I've just rang them and it appears the update was released three days after they carried out the PDI on my car, so I just missed out on it. So they've booked it in for the update in a couple of weeks time.

That's an interesting thought about the power bar only going up to 360bhp, here's a picture of mine and you can see Its indicating 389bhp, but you can also see the power bar does extends a little further to probably somewhere around 400bhp, maybe someone else can confirm when they see 360 on...

Could I ask how proactive are Lotus regarding these recalls/updates, are they contacting you or is it a case of you having to contact the dealer to find out about them?

Popped round to see a mate today, his 600LT is stunning but the Emira doesn’t look out of place next to it. If you take into account the invoice price for the 600LT was just over 300k the Emira looks a bit of a bargain.

Well to bring this to a conclusion, collected the car today and it’s great to be back in a Lotus, things have definitely moved on from the S1 Elise and Exige I had. Anyway here’s the obligatory photos.

That's a great combination you've got there, mine was a 4.3 which was a great stable mate alongside the Ferrari. In hindsight the only two cars I ever regret selling are the Exige and the Vantage and even my wife agrees with that as they were her two favorite cars as well.

It certainly was a great car, I owned it for about 13 years but found I was using it less and less, therefore decided to sell, the only thing was I couldn't think of what to replace it with and then the Emira was launched, so that was that, well almost. I was also very lucky I had this to play...

This replaced the Exige, kept it for quite a while and only sold it to make way for the Emira, which then didn't happen. Well until now:)
