Damn, I missed this thread. I guess I should visit the forum more often, instead of just when I get an email notification about replies to threads I'm already watching.
Just saw this one too. I'm interested, but this will have to be over a long weekend (3-4 days), because it's a 2000km round trip.
In general, I'm very interested in seeing new places and learning new routes. I've spent most of my time in Japan sitting in front of a computer, and it's time I go...
I was going to order a set for my RHD Emira, but I guess that now I'll pass. Even if they ended up delivering what they're advertising, the way they've been dealing with @TonyV6-UK just doesn't sit right with me.
I noticed this when I was visiting random service areas in the expressway when I was still in the break-in period for mine.
This is my Emira next to an Artura:
Damn, one would think that in a car in this price range they would use better quality materials...
Thanks for the photos, they help understand the issue very well.
The panel on the side of my driver's seat (the one with the seat controls) keeps detaching. I can push it until it "clicks" in place and it holds for a while, but it comes off again after a bit of driving.
Has anybody else seen this issue?
I've already talked to my dealer and they say they'll...
Sorry for the late post. I'm catching up with the thread now. 😅
I'll join the 23rd and if that's ok I'll wait for you at the Hanyu Parking Area. It would make no sense for me to drive all the way to Tokyo (and back) when the Hanyu PA is just 30 minutes from home.
As long as you don't plug the cylinder that contains the gunk it works just like any other compressor. This is one of those rare occassions when I actually RTFM. 😅
Update on this: the day after this happened I bought a tire pressure gauge at an Autobacs near home and confirmed that they were all fine, and didn't have any more issues...
...until yesterday.
Yesterday while driving in the expressway I get another emergency warning in the dashboard saying...
Even if they've been shipped, it's unlikely that it would arrive by this weekend anyway, because of the big ass typhoon coming our way that's going to affect air and ground traffic these next few days. 😅
I think you're right. I'm with あいおい too, and my Emira insurance is much cheaper than I expected. It is true that I have a large discount (44%) for the gold driver's license and for having been driving my other car without any accidents for some time, but even taking that into account, I was...
I don't have mine yet. Colin messaged me on August 13th to tell me that my bags were ready and he sent photos. On August 14th he sent the invoices and I paid on August 15th.
Still waiting for the delivery. I hope they arrive soon, because I'm planning to go on a multi-day road trip this...
Some "fun" that I had today at the expressway when I went shopping. I posted the details in the Lotus Emira Problems and Issues forum because it made more sense to post it there, but I think this may be relevant for all of us in Japan:
Tire pressure alert
Today while driving in the Tokyo Expressway I got an alert saying that the air pressure in the rear right tire was low, and the "check engine" indicator immediately turned on too:
I got off the expressway and got the pressure checked on all four wheels at the first gas station that I...
Thansk for letting us know. I'm going to order the same filters. When the sun is hitting the windshield or rear glass the camera recordings are pretty useless.
Scraped the bottom of my Emira for the first time. This was getting out of a parking in Tokyo. The exit had a taller step than the one at the entrance, and the nose hit the pavement.
So glad that these pucks are there doing the job they're there to do: protect the car. 😅
You can't turn off the engine accidentally. At least not while the car is moving.
If you do try, you'll get a confirmation dialog in the dashboard telling you that you have to press and hold the button to actually turn off the engine.
I do have one, but I use my car (almost) daily, so battery charge shouldn't be an issue... but now that I think of it, this happened after the car had been at the dealer for almost two weeks, and who knows for how long they had the engine running or whether they charged the battery.
I figured...
