Bridges, bridges. I am considering doing some island hopping in the Shikoku & Chugoku areas, perhaps in the May-June time frame. Any interest or advice?

How would you like to corner like it's on rails for a weekend at the Nagashima Resort (ナガシマスパーランド) in Mie prefecture ? Yes, they have hotels too.

Probably better before the rainy season, so maybe early June? Would be great if we could meet up with folks from the Chubu and Kinki areas as well !

Just saw this one too. I'm interested, but this will have to be over a long weekend (3-4 days), because it's a 2000km round trip.

In general, I'm very interested in seeing new places and learning new routes. I've spent most of my time in Japan sitting in front of a computer, and it's time I go outside and explore.

No public holidays after the first week of May or June, so it would be a "normal" weekend. Not that far, really.

Strongly agree. Personally, I can take a week off of work, but I think this will have to be really flexible where people join only the segments that they can.

For me, the second half of May, and sometimes through the first week of June, is spent in Germany for one of the world’s biggest trade-shows in Consumer Electronics (HighEnd Messe in Munich). After the end of the exhibition, I sometimes visit “next door” Austria (last year I visited JUBU) and also the Vienna Opera and Musikverein - Wien Philharmoniker. And I also went to Switzerland and France. One year we drove on the French side almost to Cologne and we dropped by NÜRBURGRING (did not actually drive on the ring; but some day…)

I will only be able to participate on drives in Japan that takes place during the second half of June or later. I have a car enthusiast friend visiting from late June who wants to do a Lotus drive with me to National Parks in Japan (still considering options).
