It is a shame. I owned a 488 Spider and drove it about 8K km per year ( with 5 months being stored for winter) I drove it all over the place, rallies, track days and it never let me down. The Ferrari service manager in spring time for oil change would ask “Any issues?” I said nope. Then he would...
Fwiw, my wheel shop scanned the tpms on my stock rims and their tool identified it as Toyota Supra GR sensors and Mercedes s class. Lot cheaper than lotus oem sensors. Getting the Toyota ones for my winter rims.
Sentali SS1 black gloss front 20x9 35 offset
Rear 20x10.5 40 offset
Also learned when oem tpms was scanned, it identifies as Toyota Supra GR or Mercedes S class. I want that on these rims, drives me nuts to see the low tire indicator during winter.
Michelin alpin snows. Same size as the oem.
245/35R20 front and 285/35R20 rear. Michelin Alpin winters
Didnt really focus on getting a narrower/talller tire (besides the rears) - like a few have said, not planning on driving in snow. Just cold clear days. The tires were off a ferrari FF that i got after 1 season for a deal, so I grabbed...
Getting the snow tires and rims sorted next Tuesday. I bought the snow tires already, just need to pick out the rims. I plan on driving it through the winter. I don’t commute to work, so not that big of a deal. But on those cold sunny days, I’d love to go for a drive!
the audio is weak and it’s fighting a lot of road noise and wind. Although this is a coupe, I hear more exterior noise that it feels like a soft top. It’s fine for me as I enjoy the sound of the road but after a three day road trip. My 7 hour drive home, I was hoping for some quiet and a nice...
I experienced the reduced acceleration warning and ESC error on a drive on the weekend after driving 1,000 miles. No rain, no wash - car was totally dry. I have 3rd cat delete. It randomly turned on as I was driving slowly through a neighbourhood. Parked locked the car, went for lunch. When I...
Our winters have been coming late year over year so you may get a few good weeks in. I personally bought snow tires for my Emira so I can drive it when it gets cold. Last winter the roads were clear until January and if I had winter tires for my 488, I could have two more months of driving. Just...
I should have kept my 2006 Maserati Gransport and 2016 981 Boxster Spyder. Miss them both but the masi more. Had it for 10 years and it was rock solid and the most sexy sound.
Replaced this with the Emira. As for comparison, unfair as they are totally different cars. Once I get past break in I’ll be able to provide a more realistic view. But in the short time I’ve had the lotus. The 488 was a really big and fast video game - super fast shifts, big wide car, sultry...
That looks amazing. Maybe I’ll do that next year. Just curious how much ground clearance I may lose. Roads here are crap. Don’t want to scrape everywhere.
How’s everyone ? I’m working through the break in period. Love the car so far. It is fun! Anyone else take delivery ? Maybe do a timmies meet up on a weekend during summer?
