Your dealer's parts department should be aware of the Certificate of Provenance.
To be honest, I haven't found other posts related to what I have posted. The only thing I regretted is purchasing this certificate too early because it does not say how many total FE V6 have been distributed into...
I agree with you on large price increase issue on orphaned Emiras. I should call to find out what it is.
Dealer did not say anything on the i4 base models......
They DID however update the following tho a little out of the topic :)
" Eletre/Eletre R/Eletre Carbon:
Due to the US...
Yes. According to my dealership, production for both FE V6 Manual and Auto is completed. Please note that I am in the US, so the status I provided might not apply to Canada.
HA! That's a good point! I might've pulled the trigger too early. I might need to call to see if they can provide an addendum letter for mine. BTW, I just got this production update message from the dealer where I got my Emira. Just FYI. Time for you to pull the trigger. :)
"FE V6 Manual/Auto...
I just received this email from where I purchased my Emira. Hopefully, it would be helpful to you if you are considering buying one.
FE V6 Manual/Auto:
Production is complete. Cars (especially automatics) are still being shipped. But production on FE V6 is done.
FE i4/AMG:
Production is...
I ordered it through the parts department from my dealership on 5/22/24 and I just picked it up today. Took long enough but it is worth it (I think) with all the additional info about my baby.
BTW, it isn't free. $344.45 after sales Tax.
@seriously thank you! I just hope these issues and feedback actually gets back to the factory floor for Lotus to come up with a proper corrective action so it does not happen with other future Emira owners.
I have not run into that issue yet. But I saw another YouTube video with an owner in Las Vegas having the same left front driver-side sensor acting the same issue. at 12:28 on the video. Take a look.
I just got my car back from the dealership yesterday. Here is an update: My dealer has identified the problems and fixed all of them. Technician notes are in the attached image for your reference. I hope it will help if you come across similar issues.
Mine are like yours on both sides. I thought it is OEM/standard spec. Thanks for the post, I am going to call the dealer to see if they can adjust it since they are servicing it.
I am looking to powder-coat mine to match the magma-red color. The Evora GT came in Red as stock and I really like the way it looks. Can anyone recommend a shop in the northern California area that would do this?
I got quoted $900 for the first 1000 miles oil change with added service such as full inspection of the car, torque of all the suspension and chassis, and then sending the driving report back to Lotus. I am in San Mateo, CA. quote is from Boardwalk Lotus in Redwood City.
I just dropped off the car yesterday, and the service tech mentioned that the rear bumper alignment is normal. He said, "It happens on all the US Emira." To be honest, I am not sure how to respond to that comment. I think I can only accept the fact that it isn't perfect. The rear right engine...
Great Question! No Seams on the rear panels.
The only portion my guy asked me to choose is to have a seam on a sharp edge underneath the "lotus" logo on the rear bumper, or he has to remove the "LOTUS" logo to make it one piece. I chose to have a seam instead since he promised me the seam would...
