Yes agree with both statements; inspection I would support once/yr. Too much junk falling of cars, too little brake remaining so rear enders, etc. But............revenue generated/cost should allow reasonable (I know, subject to opinion) compensation to service provider with any remainder...
Small victory; got report from senator Gruters that constituent and legislative feedback has resulted in removal of front plate requirement from bill...............
Just an FYI....
Florida legislature is currently working Senate Bill SB 92 through its process. The importance is its inclusion of a front license plate in addition to the rear for all cars. If passes,as currently written, this law would require front plates beginning January 1, 2026.
I will be...
Website for Sprint Booster lists only Elise and Exige-no Emira.
Sounds like a nice addon though, and would consider primarily for theft/valet use if/when available.
Same "rattle"(plastic clack good explanation too!) from dash at base of window going over bumps. Intermittent and changes when dash warms (from sun)while driving and when pressing down with hand on front edge. Loosely fit front dash panel? On list for 1000 mile dealer visit.
Good to hear; on my GT with matte/satin black, this made no difference-just did wheels on Emira siilver gloss, and would be nice if this is effective-we'll see.
Also, when installing, one could use any of the many brands of exhaust glue/tape/wrap to ensure sealing?? Could save redo..........just a thought........
Similar experience; some closure systems apparently require "pairing" of signal by activating signal button on garage door motor-Homelink instructions give the sequence....I had to do this to complete programming for my setup.......
The plastic side panels, and two central covers need removing; rubber shield is under if fitted. Easily seen; it is a "rube goldberg" fix (hope it works) and may need adjusting depending on how good a job was done with initial install/fitting. I adjusted mine.........
Thinking......the owner manual notes only a RED color for the general warning triangle and relates this warning to other faults which "could affect the safety or drivability..." of the car. Today added gas to my car when warning light for low fuel displayed, along with general warning triangle...
Went with Apeman 420-D-worked on GT and now Emira powered by outlet on mirror pod.......have not run wire for rear view camera yet.........on sale now ~$51.00, maufacture website..............had to do some "fiddling" to get all functions usable.......sketchy instructions, but everything covered...
Sarasots C&C 8 to 10 am every 2nd Saturday of the month. At University Town Center just off I-75. Usually ~400+ participants. music and caterers............
So, @crestima what was build date of your car? Date of 12/23 @Aero shows "original" design, and yours shows "upgraded"? Would this give credence to Lotus addressing water retention (noted by others) should yours have been built after 12/23? If so, would think Lotus (hopefully)...
I used Bar Keepers Friend, liquid and small brushes/clothes to clean light reddish/orange surface rust fro aluminum SC body. Works great with little effort; use it often on metal items with surface rust......
Thanks, understand the aspect of volume....not encouraging; unless Lotus has taken definitive steps to fix. Do you, or anyone, have any factual info on anything Lotus may have done to correct problem?
So, if blistering occurs, at some point could not all of the chemical reaction resulting in CO2 gas/bubbles eventually be self limiting since all chemicals "used up" (pardon technical terminology:rolleyes:)? Perhaps no more bubbles could form; at that time repairing surface defects and painting...
Did this last week in deciding which to go with when at dealer to evaluate primary V6 manual choice; was (!) diehard manual driver, as was wife, prior to comparison.
Some differences noted:
1.Typical less smoothness of i4 motor idling and under acceleration-minimal
2.DCT shifting slightly slow...
Hello from Sarasota; awaiting I4 in Jan/Feb. interested if any owners in area have info on Elite Motorsports in Sarasota-have 2 or 3 locations I believe.......also will be letting '21 GT go probably if anyone knows of interest.
Thanks and appreciate info; essentially confirms interference motor. Sorry for your situation and hope your recovery is "tolerable". Your 4 options cover plight nicely.............
I am surprised with your battery "failure". Antigravity batteries are used to keep low battery issues to a minimum.
Could you give us info on your battery; type, age etc, and info on how long car was not driven, was tender not used etc......thanks
