Service Manual

Do you know a place where one can purchase a printed copy?
Heh, if you've downloaded the file, I suppose kinkos can print you one off, but I don't think Lotus has a printed copy for sale.

I was hoping to go with oil/water resistant paper for a proper shop manual but Fedex (Kinkos) and Office Depot want 1k for that.

FYI, It's not a great doc.

Misses lots of detail.

A cynic would say that the people responsible for creating it, have never worked on an Emira.

Just MHO.

LOL so goes most of the manuals for most manufacturers honestly. They usually leave a lot to be desired and miss a lot of details to the skill level of the mechanic. I thought the Lotus documentation is about on par with BMW TIS.

I don't think it's always about skill level.
On so many modern builds, knowing the location of, and required 'action' to release all these nasty hidden plastic clips etc, which way to push, or squeeze. So much hidden stuff that only product knowledge (or a decent manual) can lead you to.
I wonder just how many hidden plastic automotive 'clips' get broken, globally, by people attempting to dismantle modern cars per year??

LOL, they're not really meant to be taken apart and put back together.

That's an old version - dated August 2022 on the last page....

The current issue (dated May 2023) is available here :

That is an owner's manual; request was for service manual?

You can purchase either a "service manual" or an "owner's handbook" from Forum member "Martylemoo" at a reasonable price, using this thread:

At one point you could download a PDF copy, now it looks like its only viewable through the browser

I just found that out the hardway on Saturday. Bought the 1 hour special and had to work like mad to get in relevant sections. I thought it was going to have a "Download All" option, but goes to show what happens when you assume!

Hoping Martylemoo will still be making runs of the hardcopy.

Is there somewhere where we can see a detailed service schedule? ie everything that the dealer is supposed to do/check/replace at every service interval? I want to provide my own consumables (oils etc) so want to buy these ahead of time when I book in a service.

If you didn’t manage to download them all let me know I can help.
