Kaz, can you ask your installer something:
Check if the fake noise is only coming from the back and sub speakers.
If the fake noise is only coming from the back and sub speakers, check if the sub and back speaker output from the main amp has the same noise.
My understanding is that the back...
Previously, Lotus provided a list of VINs to the dealers with their current status. There was no question as soon as the production was planned and assigned to a confirmed order. It's possible that your production is scheduled, but they are trying to match you up with another production VIN...
I don't think there would be a separate fuse for the gateway module. It's very small and may just be a sensor of some sort that feeds the engine speed signal to the audio system.
The Audio Module is the main DSP processor and audio amplifier. The booster the secondary amp for the subwoofer.
It...
I posted this in the main USA Delivery Thread:
Alright people, finally, first shipment of 2025 cars have arrived in the US on 3/17/2025. 150 cars total in this batch, all look like base edition V6 cars. As usual, the VINs are in the sheet linked by the image:

Here's the offending part. I wonder if it can be disconnected if located.

That's been the question from day one. The GR Yaris/Corolla cars use a EA6x transmission as well and those cars are cracking their shift collars on the higher output tunes. This is with exotic aftermarket collars and gears. The GR Yaris people are nuts so you know they looked into this every...
The alcantara is okay - the only worry is places like the armrest and steering wheel where you touch a lot. But really just the steering wheel. Some have really strongly negative experiences with alcanrara steering wheels. Some don't.
I personally wouldn't do a light colored natural leather as it will get dirty and look old. I recommend the brown leather ad something that will wear well. That is if you are not really really wanting the light colored leather. I have seen a few other Emiras at the cars and coffees around but...
Yes, I agree. It's generally not recommended to mix different subwoofers. By leaving both in place, there may be excessive midbass since the stock subwoofer has low end extension limits and has audible compression at high playback volumes.
Yea, I also think it's a good system. The bass can be improved, that's about it. 80 percent of the time, however, I have the system off because I like how the car sounds. I have been commuting with my car recently and on the highways, listening to the KEF system has been pretty enjoyable.
Personally I think it's not going to be that meaningful. I don't see Lotus putting out some monster new engine in a hotter version of the Emira. I also strongly doubt that AMG will provide an even more powerful version of the M139. Their next engine package, if they continue to work on this...
I have given up on reading reviews of steering feel. They are all just making it up - some of them aren't but they are downed out by those that are, and it's difficult to tell them apart because they all use the same language.
It's one of those things that is so subjective (lighter/heavier...
I'd be really surprised if it sounded better than the KEF system. We know it's less powerful, has fewer speaker drivers, and I have no idea what the subwoofer design is - it looks almost as if its just one of the rear speakers, but this is just a guess with a 11.2% confidence.
Geez that looks good! Thanks for sharing. Anyway to install it without having to remove the console trim above? Can I just unbolt the shifter from the floor, or is that a no-go? Why does the console trim on top have to be removed?
That's a neat looking little sub, but it'll be at such a disadvantage in terms of raw physics. Even a low cost 8 inch sub is going to dig deeper and louder... Any reason why you want such a small driver?
To me, as long as a car satisfies some base level of qualifications, then whether someone chooses it as a platform to be driven as-is or for modifications is really just "seasoning to taste". Some of us like the food as is, some wants something a little spicier, etc. Some enjoy tinkering, some...
I have not... but it really shouldn't take much space. Stiffly sprung subwoofers made for small sealed enclosures, like the Eaton PW 10 need as little as 10-15 liters of volume for 10" drivers. Essentially you just have to build the box large enough to contain the back of the driver. A custom...
In Mercedes cars, the boost and engine speeds are measured, as well as throttle position, intake air mass, and fuel ratio. From these inputs, the HP and Torque numbers are displayed from fixed internal maps or formulas. There is no built in torque measurement sensor on these cars.
Most modern car audio amplifiers and powered subwoofers no longer need a separate line level converter. They usually come equipped with speaker-level inputs as-is. Check to see if the powered subwoofer you are buying has speaker level input already.
There are two amps, the main amp with the DSP plus a booster amp for the subwoofer. The booster amp takes the output from the main amp and, uh, boosts it.
There is no way to upgrade just the amp to get more power, you'll end up boosting the signal from the main amplifier.
I am not aware of a...
Come to think of it, you can design and 3D print a flange adapter. It would add some thickness but you might need that additional clearance for the MMATS subwoofer to fit into the box anyway since it has that huge magnet in the back. If you do that. I don't know how much frontal clearance there...
I generally would stay away from Rockville products.
The MMATS audio subwoofer looks very well built and should work well in a small sealed enclosure, but gain, you might as well use an 8" driver because there are many more choices available.
Fitting a different driver into the stock subwoofer...
Seems like you need 11 of screw A138W5001F, some number of washer A082W4098F (check the other side to see how many you need), and 1 of bolt LFALM06020CA. You might be missing some of the spring clips B100W6372F. Might as well...
An 8" is not that much larger than a 6x9 in terms of cone area. You would need something with extremely long excursion and that means a deep basket and a large magnet structure. It would be a lot easier to get similar levels of performance out of a more generic 10" subwoofer driver because of...
This 360HP I4 got up to 281km/h, or 174mph. Given this and seeing that the V6 video shows the driver backing off the throttle, I'm thinking 180mph is not unreasonable.
