I don’t believe for a moment that an Emira V8 will happen, but if it did I wouldn’t want it to sound like an AMG V8 or similar. It’s just not the right note for an exotic car IMO. Perfect for a muscle car, or front engined GT, but not a mid engine supercar.

100%. I’ve been saying that for ages. It all comes down to the gearbox / gear change. No amount of power can overcome a 6 speed v 8 speed and virtually instantaneous gearchanges v slow, manual ones.
