2026 will be last year for Emira. Sad news.

Wow. So we will have the FEs in the US being delivered "soon" and then maybe just 2 years of further production. At least in the US that should keep the overall numbers down.

2027 = 2028 Model Year... So that is 4 model years for USA/Canada

Edit... I can't read... says before 2027. I'm still waking up... so 3 Model Years

My understanding is the base edition will not go away for other "hot" variants. The base will always be able to be ordered at 360 BHP i4 and then there will be an "S" at 400 and "R" probably closer to 420-450 BHP and much more track focused. China got the "S" from the start, due to no V6.

Question is, when does the V6 Emira go away. I think one year of Base edition and it will be retired. Perhaps a very limited edition run and numbered car for a final manual at the end of 2025. Every other article has stated first deliveries of type 135 will be in 2028. So I think i4 Emira will run until 2028. V6 looks to be on the chopping block next year.

I can very much see the First Edition V6 being the only “named” V6. It took them 3 years to get CARB close to approval is US. They won’t try to up the ante on the V6

It's looking increasingly like Geely is merely tolerating this pet project that is the Emira. They just want it to be over with so that the guys at Hethel can start building cars that "matter" to their vision of global electric car dominance.

So they got 2 years to:
• Deliver NA v6s
• Deliver i4s everywhere but China
• Deliver base models
• Release S, R and Final Editions (not going to happen)

I can’t help but think there are going to be a lot of disappointed customers out there.

Keep in mind it's 2024. They will keep these going until 2028 IMO (i4 - or perhaps 2030?). This was explicitly told to me at the factory. The V6 is a different story, no one knows how long, could be gone in 2026.

Either way there is another 4 years of production ahead and If you look how they released Eletre and Emeya the base, S and R were all released at the same time. It is very possible the same will happen when they release the base configurator / or a year afterwards once the V6 is dead. (most likely the case)

And let's be honest, they may reveal type 135 next year, who actually thinks they will deliver one in 2027?

Evo Magazine UK:

Typical "Porsche Monthly" made-up assumption/nonsense from anti-Emira Evo magazine I suspect - why would Lotus be building a new production hall (and offices and logistics buildings) at Hethel for EV sportscars (including Type 135) if they needed to halt Emira production to start to build it on the same line?

On Another note - Since the Emira S i4 in China is 850K CNY, do we think that the Emira S 400 BHP i4 will be 95K GBP price point? (without first edition options)

For US Buyers that would be 120K USD. It would make sense. Apparently those Chinese i4's are getting 3.5 sec 0-60. Fairly quick!

Any videos of 3.5 sec 0-60. I was hoping with the delays to NA they would just do all I4's at 400hp.
