Hello fellow Canadians. Having been "hooked" (pardon the pun) on the Simpson Racing Hybrid S restraint system at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School in Nevada (went twice in my not-too-distant Corvette C8 days), I'm looking to purchase one for track use in my Emira. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it's the only head/neck restraint system you can use with the OEM 3-point seat belt system. All other safety restraint systems require a 4 or 5-point racing harness set-up. The Hybrid S tethers your helmet and restricts up/down or sideways movements, to minimize the chance of whiplash-type injuries while on the track. The Hybrid S is not to be confused with the Hybrid Sport...since the latter requires a racing harness.

My thought is to try and get enough people interested in ordering one, to justify a reduced price for a "group-buy". I'm told a 10% discount would be no problem, with 5 people. With that many, I'll provide a list to the supplier and each person can deal direct with him.

Note: the price I've found from a Canadian supplier who quoted the discount above, is C$1,695.00 + tax, with free delivery within Canada. That's the lowest I've found so far, since others advertise the price at C$1,750.00 + tax. That doesn't include the helmet tethering hardware, although that may be included. I'd prefer the "quick click" or quick release M61 hardware that attaches to your SA2020 helmet, which I suspect will cost extra (C$100.00??), but that's just me.

If interested, post here or PM (private message) me, through the Forum. Thanks.
