I am going to get my Emira PPF et al . It will take 2 weeks according to my detail guy. He will need to unplug the handles and side mirrors to get the best PFF coverage. He will have to disconnect the battery to avoid any code issues once he reconnects versus if it remains on tender. Has anyone done this without issues. Appreciate advise and feedback. I also reached out to my local dealer about 2.5 hrs away.

I’m sure the same was done on mine without causing an issue. Has your dealer said the battery needs to be disconnected?
Currently mine is having ppf done and the doors are off and it’s plugged in to a trickle charger.

Reached to my dealer, and the response “ I also followed up do I really need to get battery disconnected. According to detail guy, his rationale and based on his experience ( not Lotus) some cars have codes that will show up ( mirrors and handles being unplugged)
And I conferred with Bear about the PPF/disconnecting the battery. If you do indeed disconnect it, the most likely codes to come up (if any!) will be the Tire Pressure, TSC/ESC, and the SOS. If any do appear, they'll clear with driving as the car resets and reads the systems. The SOS specifically is due to that system having its own small auxiliary battery that may need recharging with driving.”
