I'm looking to install a backing camera up front (because I'm paranoid of scraping the front lip on parking stoppers) so I have a choice of either tapping into a 12v wire somewhere or routing a usb cable from the outside to the inside.

Whats a good spot to do any of the two?

I am aware of the sacrificial pucks under the lip. I am also aware of the parking sensors up front. I am still paranoid.

Or back into the parking spot?
This is my default. Sorry didn't think I needed to specify that in my disclaimers. But this is for parking spots where you can't back in, like on one way streets and you have to park diagonally into the slot.

What are you planning to use to display the video?
My cellphone. Some cameras can connect to on an app via wifi. I have two phones, a work and a personal one. I use one for carplay and the other I can use for this camera.
