Hi all, im in the process of looking for the right used Emira. At some point on this journey I have considered literally every colour but finding the right car is challenging given known issues and compromises. Anyway, I have recently been considering a Shadow Grey car with black Alcantara with yellow stitch, and yellow callipers - Initially I wanted a tan interior but after driving an Alcantara car I fell for it. Problem is Shadow Grey is quiet elusive and from what I can tell, never looks the same in 2 different pictures - even more so than DV. I have seen it in the flesh on a dull day here in the UK and it was "ok" but not a "wow" colour. I have spent days trawling photos to try and get a better idea of what it is actually like (including the photos on this forum) but I feel none the wiser. I stumbled across this video a while ago which shows off Shadow Grey in a way that I absolutley love but I don't know if I can trust the video.

So, for anyone with a Shadow Grey car (or others with first hand experience of it), how accurate is the depiction of the colour in this video? (Oddly enough, this car is still for sale but the miles are too low for my risk appetite)

Thanks in advance.

It does look different in different lighting. Do you want to see it looking black, metallic grey or flat grey? I’d say the video is accurate for direct sunlight. Here is a close up of the blue fleck.

In an ideal world I'd like it to look metallic grey and not too flat/dull. I love the blue fleck in your image. If it comes out in the sunlight like that, and also how it present sin the video then I would be very happy. Thanks for the share.

Here it is looking black:

Kind of flat grey:

This is probably most representative:

Best of luck. I like the dynamic nature of the colour.

Amazing, thanks for taking the time to share those. The more pictures I see of Shadow Grey the more I like it and it’s a real positive that it changes in the light so much. I’ve always been a “light” paint person but this may just be my first dark car. I have a call tomorrow to scope out the history. Thanks again

I don't have one but Ive seen a few in person and shadow grey is probably the most underrated color. It looks really good in person. I still think lighter colors show off the Emiras lines more but if I wanted dark I would get a shadow grey over verdant, cosmos or meridian.

Saw this one at a car show. It looks very similar to the video. I honestly thought it was black until I came around and saw that it was shadow grey. It looks neat in person. I personally am looking at Osmium Silver as it shows the lines a little more. But you wouldn’t be disappointed in this color, that’s for sure.

If I were buying new I think I’d go for Osmius Silver. I love silver as a colour on cars for many reasons - lack of visible scratching and ease of keeping clean are bonuses. I’ve never had a black car as it’s not my thing but having seen the Emira in DV which looks black from some angles/lights I thought it looked great therefore I don’t mind Shadow Grey looking black in some lights either. The fact it looks different in brighter lights makes it a colour I think I would enjoy the range of 👍
