For those getting a carbon engine surround, are you doing anything with the washer filler cap?? šŸ¤”

I'm going to pull the trigger on a carbon engine surround (example below) - but against the carbon, that washer cap looks a bit naff šŸ˜‘šŸ‘Ž

So wondered if anyone had plans to upgrade the standard one for something a bit more aesthetically pleasing šŸ¤©

Ps. for those with carbon on order, did you go Aerie or Gregsraceparts ???

I purchased a 3" alloy billet from Amazon link here https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B81TJ7W9?psc=1... cost Ā£22.22. You only need the black alloy cap. I then filed the top of the old plastic cap to get it level, and then used araldite glue to fix it to the new cap. There was a slight gap so used some self adhesive weather foam strip (12mm x 6mm) around the old cap before glueing in place - perfect fit! I then found a self-adhesive decal which I applied from this link https://paintmodz.co.uk/.../washer-logo-circular-gel... cost cĀ£4 so cost less than Ā£30 all in. Very pleased with the outcome. I hope this helps.

Do your water jets still work?

Iā€™m thinking youā€™d need to drill a hole in that (like the standard one) otherwise there will be a vacuum.
