Looking to get this, but wanted to hear from those who have installed them.
Especially, comparing Aerie, Jogon,
Greg’s race parts, and other brands that you have seen at a meet, show or anywhere else.
Please let me know about the fit, finish and after seeing any brand if you wished you got that product.
I have installed Jogon interior and exterior glossy carbon fiber parts and have been happy, but there aren’t many other competitors with the smaller pieces.
Pictures of engine surround in herring bone glossy carbon is what I prefer, but any pattern would help others decide as well, thank you

I just installed mine from Aerie I got yesterday. Quality is good but fitment could be better. I am reaching out to them to see if there is anything that can be done. Here is a picture

If you look at their past group buy thread some said the had to due something with screw holes and that it was better, but not perfect. Is anyone else having issues?
Maybe Aerie will give some suggestions so let them know exactly the issue on this thread.
Anyone install Greg’s race parts or Jogon and where there fitment issues and how is the quality of the carbon fiber surrounds?
And pictures would be helpful, thanks

Happy with mine from Aerie. I took a while to ship but fit and finish met my expectations.

I previously tried Jogon gear shift surround cover but found that the red start/stop button cage/guard would not drop or lower smoothly or on its own. The issue was that the red cage/guard was rubbing up against the carbon surround cover and prohibiting the cage/guard from softly and slowly dropping back to its closed position. I ended up returning the carbon trim for a refund.

What is your experience ? Does the red cage/guard operate like it should ?

Thanks

I bought a matte fishbone set from GRP, which I received already, but my car's still being serviced by my dealer so I'll post pics once I get the car back soon.

It seems every vendors parts has some alignment issues, but after speaking with greg it all comes down to the installer to make it fit as best as they can because even some stock surrounds aren't perfectly aligned. We just never paid close attention

Have any of you thought about just having a local shop hydrodip yours? I obviously have a use for two, and via hydrodip the finish is guaranteed and you can choose various carbon fiber finishes. Yes, I know it is fake, but I would like some texture to the cover for the i4. Since it covers the whole engine bay a little style would be nice...
