Carwash experience?

I sent my Emira through a machine last week. I had been up in the mountains, got the car covered in road salt, and felt very under-motivated to drag the pressure washer and undercarriage attachment out of the garage in the cold weather. I went to my local place that does hand washes, but they were short-staffed that day and weren't taking handwash customers. They asked if they could use the machine...I mentally weighed the danger for water ingress and PPF damage against salt sitting on the car, and went ahead and had them use it with the full undercarriage wash.

The result: No water ingress, not a drop, and no check engine lights or anything weird. PPF looked great after. I still will not make a habit of it, but if the choice in the future is salt or machine, I'm going machine.
