Similar styling to the Emira
Thought this may eventually be a potential replacement for my Emira.
However, looking at the press release, I’m not sure what I’d be gaining, whilst I’d be giving up an awful lot.
Any thoughts?

Where did you read / see "similar styling to the Emira"? And I guess there aren't any photos revealed yet?

Had an email from Caterham - photos are on Pistonheads too. When I say similar I’m being kind, I don’t really think it looks as good as an Emira

It's good to see variety in the area of EV sportscars. I don't dislike the exterior design... Let's see what Lotus will do with the Type-135.

Agree it shares looks with MC20...

For the money...Emira on Nitron suspension, any day! So much car for the money. Can be easily specced to anyones taste, since it has such a great proven chassis! Ranges from comfortable tourer to sharp track scalpel.

The 3 seat arrangement is nice. Never seen that done before

I think it looks reminiscent of a Ferrari Dino, which as we know was a major inspiration for the Elise. Caterham isn’t claiming this is anything like the Elise calling it more of a GT car (which I take as a signal to set sports car expectations accordingly) but it’s lightweight and interesting. Not an Emira replacement at all but an interesting candidate to share the garage.

needlessly fussy front end to my eye and odd how the line of the side window appears to rise higher than the front windscreen vs the continuity of the MC20's window profile

Was looking at the pictures, thinking something just doesn't look quite right to me... I think it is the round headlights, I just don't think they do it any favours.

Actually seen it on the Caterham stand today... I think it looks way better in the flesh than in some pics... Still not convinced by the headlights though, can't stop thinking it would have been so much better with more 'modern' looking headlights.

reminds me of the jaguar C-X75 - I think it's good looking car.

No, far too many people crowded around it to get any decent pics when I was there in the afternoon unfortunately. That colour (same as in the PH article) does look very nice in the flesh though.
