So driver side going over bumps plastic clacking sound
what it sounds like ...
I thought maybe seat but bang it nothing...
Then I thought the bungee going into side panel and taped it and still there..
My thinking now wonder if headliner where it sits on panel..
Any one having this issue...

Mine does the same. It sounds like it's coming from the driver's A Pillar. Also, I occasionally get a clicking sound coming from somewhere around the rear window seal. However, that one seems to go away when the interior warms up. I spoke with Lotus Detroit, and they are aware of both sounds and have fixed the A pillar on another owner's car recently.
I put a rubber seal in both corners to fill the gap and mine was more on drivers side and had gap around 1/4inch...And now working on the window area giving headliner more support....This did stop the noise for a ride than it started again.. With moving to center of window........I think what I should have really done to correct this issue was go under the rubber headliner seal and spray foam up there
to sort of glue the headliner to roof and problem solved..

If you want to....I am to far away to drop car off and leave it...And I find with noises sometimes you are better off finding them
and dealing with it ..The last Lotus I had the tech bragged he was the best well driving home I heard more noise than
when I dropped it off......

So out riding around and NOISE Is Gone...Quiet !!! So double sticky tape rolled up and pushed up between rear window and headliner rubber
stiffens it enough to stop noise .
When I roll the tape I push it up so that it is flush with rubber not to be seen..
I do think the Amazon tape that can form inside corner would work but to chilly to try it right now.
Would need a hot day for Amazon material...

I found a loose screw around the rear window when I had my interior apart to install soundproofing. The screw had a washer on it and I'm sure it must have been making noise however it was on the passenger side, and I did not hear it.

Do you see a gap in corners between the headliner and rear wall ...Driver side I had 1/4 inch passenger side was tight.
So this is what in beginning was the cause and putting the rubber between these joints stopped my noise for one ride
then It moved to center area of rear window and this noise was louder I guess since I put rubber in corners it made it more
stiff and louder. ...That is when I pushed up on headliner in rear and did get it to make the noise...So headliner flex under movement
and when driving I reached back and if I held it while driving it would stop...
This may not be a fix for every Emira..But worth trying ..
Driving mine the last 2 days is like driving a new car I never had for first 400 miles..LOL

I do not have that gap. I did notice though that it is difficult to get the clips that attach the trim piece around the (high up near the corners where it meets the headliner) glass to seat properly with the trim piece for the rear side panels. If those clips do not seat properly, it could allow some extra movement in the panels and perhaps the headliner. This may not be your issue but may be worth looking at.

I am 74 and body is beat up and eyes just do not see what they did few years ago so when I take it in for oil change at 1000 miles
I may mention it to Lotus and see what they say....I have it quiet now and really happy with it and what I have done you can not
see so could just leave it be also..LOL...thank You Rapture

Same; my "rattle" is from dash at windshield base-when driving noise is on driver side, and when passenger on that side.....listening position seems to change area. So far not been able to fix with rubber inserts, but does come and go with varying interior temp. Plan to have dealer evaluate at 1000 mile check. Fingers crossed.......meanwhile will continue effort to resolve..........
