Cold air induction box

Hi All. Can those persons that have upgraded their cold air induction give their experiences of what difference they noticed. Was it just induction noise? Or Noise and increased performance. Also, which brand are they running.

I`m thinking about this mod, and due to the crap Aussie dollar it`s quite an expensive option. So it would be nice to hear from those that have upgraded to hear if it was worth it.

Don't know if this helps but I have the drop-in filter and it made a big difference in sound. You can really hear the hissing under throttle now.
And it's like 10% of the price of the CAI.

Thinkin that the lack of response makes me think that there's not much benefit to adding such an upgrade. The amount of responses to a third cat delete indicated it is a worthwhile upgrade. I myself contributed to that conversation relaying my experience with that upgrade. Think I`ll hold off on the airbox for now. The Jubu upgrade is another one that reported not much more info. So that`s another one I`ll table for now.

Just completed three mods ... have to say the car sounds SOOOOO much better and is more punchy (I think that is the best way to describe). It might be a placebo effect but it definitely seems to just hit a bit harder.

Pulled out the stock CAI and replaced it. While I like the 'looks' of Eventuri, the GRP represents the best balance overall. It was straightforward install although it took some negotiation to get everything lined up ... I still think I might go back and slightly adjust but it's good for now.

The decat process took some work but was pretty simple overall. Next was the...

Hi folks,
I've also been toying with the idea of installing one of the two CAIs. What has held me back on fully the trigger so far is that I've been trying to determine if the Eventuri's more than double price of GRP's, is really justified. I haven't seen posts that contrast the virtues/weaknesses of the two, but please let me know if there is such a thread/post comparing both. No question, the Eventuri's build and finish seem to look better, but quite frankly, imo, that's not really much of an advantage since the nicer components of the Eventuri will be buried out of sight anyway. So I'm still wondering if there's any significant advantages of one over the other, more specifically in terms of performance (HP) enhancement, engine sound quality, weight, and filter accessibility, availability and/or maintenance.
