DARK VERDANT!?

The Elan has been a handling benchmark for many people in the industry. Gordon Murray is a huge fan and many of the McLaren engineers own them.

I bought mine 25 years ago and have no intention of ever selling it.
(just realised it’s not green so should not be in this thread. Sorry!)

Yes Tom, I remember seeing an interview with Gordon Murray about the designing of the McLaren F1. He said he wanted the steering feel to be as good as the Elan. He said they didn't achieve it. I think this is high praise indeed for our little Elan.

I got sent this shot earlier, not the best pic I know but there is a very slight hint of green....
Look at that front arch gap though, a large cat could sleep in there😔
Color Corrected... not much of a change, but thought I would take crack since you indicated it wasn't the best pic..

That looks like a great model, and you can see the green in the Toronto sunlight.
It is a good model of the Emira... It's more of a black in the shade.. But is green in sunlight.

The Toronto sun has been pretty good this year!

had to get in very close to see the metallic in it on camera.. on the real car I don't think it would be as noticeable.

I think it is insane that Lotus never once published a pic of DV... I honestly wonder if they remove it as option on the base car... clearly they don't like it for some reason.

That is great having sun in Toronto. Unfortunately, as many will know, here in the UK bright sunlight is quite rare, and so for the most part Dark Verdant is effectively just black.
