DFW PPF Installers List (Please add yours!)

Not quite North Texas, but not too far.

Waco

Bulldog Auto Detailing
Full coverage Xpel with ceramic $7,000 tax included

I am happy with their work!
That's imo a fair price for what was done. Worth it. I also had my wind shield done. Not Xpel as they do not do this.
I do a lot of fun drives in Hill Country with Lotus of TX and also go the AR Ozarks.
you definitely need windshield protection. that just cost me $700.00 at Custom Car Stereo and Tint. They use SunTek

Did the windshield film alter the clarity? Have you had it on any other car? How does it age over time?

Very slight but not noticeable. At least i don't notice it. This is the 4th car they have done for me. Longest so far is 3 years and still good.
They told me it will last 2 to 3 years but can last longer.
I can tell you that if driving on lots of small country roads while following other cars and the shit they throw up it is worth every penny. We do some very spirited drives (not everyone's cup of tea) and follow each other fairly closely.

FYI Lotus has nothing to do with PPF they do not warrant it.
PPF is warranted by the company the produces it. Or your specific dealer does.
Xpel has a 10 year warranty against defect, peeling, bubbling.
Personally that is important to me and was will to pay a little more than others
Had 4 cars done with Xpel over the years and never had a problem
Cost me for full front, mirrors, head lights, side rocker panels, window tint and roof $4,650.00
Maybe not, just what the dealer was saying, and maybe he was talking in the context of the dealer, but he said Lotus. Something about the film they recommend and how it adheres to the paint Lotus uses.

Check with Lotus itself not just take the dealers word. They will sell you what they want and who they recommend.
Lotus in no way will warranty the product. I have never seen anywhere that Lotus recommends a product that they don't do
but you need to go with what you believe is beat for you. Sales people for the most part will tell you what they want in order to convince you to buy from them

I get the salesman aspect. i have bought and sold many performance cars. When I saw the price, I was sold on that alone cause you couldn't beat it if you went to a non dealer solution. They are sending me the paperwork on the PPF, and I will ask for clarity on the claimed warranty, but either way it's good as they did a great job with a low price IMO. Like you said, everybody should get what they want. You want the car to look good with the work done, and be protected.

The dealer sent me the warranty paperwork. It is a "Lotus Guard Warranty" which provides ten years from date of PPF installation. Called Lotus Guard PPF in their documents. I forgot the actual product name under that. They (Lotus) are sending warranty paperwork for me to sign.

Interesting. Has anyone else got “lotus guard warranty “

Did Earth Motor Cars give you any trouble about not getting PPF or ceramic from them when you picked it up?
Not at all. Was a pretty easy transaction as I literally spent 10 minutes at the dealer and drove home :)

For those of you interested in having your PPF done in North Texas, I just finished mine with Color Factory DFW... the prices and things are in the first post, but figured I'd attach a bunch of pictures. The car was covered with swirls to start, too.

Insane improvement. That paint looked horrendous.
