Great to see decent pictures of the interior leather.

Note the exposed shifter folks :)
The leather interior look and feels very authentic and natural AND the seats are 'huggabley' comfortable.

Honestly those seats look like a good reason for me to consider alcantara. I never liked leather seats with too large of leather pieces that can easily start to look a bit like the old bean bag chairs I had as a kid. They sag, stretch and there's no recovering from that given what I've seen in very similar interiors of the old Aston Martin V8 Vantage. It just shouts "lounge chair" more than Sport Seat.

These are not quite the same as current factory ones. They have 3 horizontal bars on the back. Better than this!

Agreed, it immediately made me think of the early 2000s Astons with large leather pieces - even in brand new Vantages, there was visible wrinkling that reminds of a plush sofa that belongs more in a ski resort.

I want that to be true, but since Lotus themselves haven't shown *anything* to those waiting on delivery in literally months, it's hard to trust any information. Come to think of it, there have been zero pictures of any finished "production" interior released, in any color.

We also still haven't seen official photographs of any completed cars in Nimbus Grey, Dark Verdant, or Magma Red. And the previous show cars (Seneca Blue and Shadow Grey) were not painted with the final process, they were hand-built one-offs. As of today, 6th of May 2022, nearly a year after the launch at Goodwood, the only way for a buyer to see an accurate representation of any of the Emira FE colors to get a reliable idea of what they look like is to book a tour, buy a flight to the UK and visit the factory. And even then, there's a good chance a given color won't be available on the day. The whole scenario is crazy.

I guess that's what they mean by removing padding to get the seats lower.
lol the seats look like an absolute joke. From fit to finish, uneven layers, saggy bolsters…. Even to have them in a car that will be showcased and photographed to the world to see across social media platforms these days. Lotus genuinely have zero clue. Or an attitude close enough is good enough whilst we get our sh*t together.

I’ve said it before and will say it again, they can aspire and act as a big mainstream player. But at the moment they are not even a whimper or shadow on what other manufacturers do and how they execute.

I’m genuinely worried 😟 for our FE cars and what they’ll be when we get them. I hope I don’t spend more time at the dealer, than on the road.

On my factory tour the leather looked saggy like that in one car i looked into. But never asked if this was acceptable to them or not.

The guide did mention the interior needs to be perfect before they release pictures, "people will complain about the slightest thing if we relase pictures, like the seats not looking completely right".

Lol so they clearly don’t give a crap 💩 about the safety cars that are showcased to the world 🌍. On ya Lotus 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ brilliant management….

Those seats are really embarrassing. The leather quality is beautiful, but what they've done with it to make it look like an old sofa is a sackable offence.

The bespoke sagging and optional wrinkles are hand sculpted to fit each driver.
On my tour I thought the quality of the leather seats was not brilliant they all had sag and wrinkles, but then again on my new M4 with the glorious carbon bucket seats these were not 100% perfect as had some wrinkles

Mate no one even comes close to Porsche… Quality second to none…. Daylight second…. It’s kind of scary 😧 Lotus are comparing their cars to them… I love ❤️ Lotus but be real….

I know Lotus has been working on the base seat foam. I hope they make the base foam stiffer so the leather cannot easily stretch and sag. Interestingly in the Shadow Grey dynamic prototype there is no visible sag, but some of those who saw and sat in it have stated that the base seat foam in it is too hard. I would rather it be harder than cushy and have the leather sagging in 100kms!
