Gooooooood morning fellow Emirati!

I have an alcantara steering wheel on my Emira. Love it. Don’t love the idea of it getting nasty over time, which I know it will.

How to slow it down? Maybe driving gloves.

Does anyone have experience with Hungant.com gloves? Tailor made to order for what looks to be reasonable prices. And I can color match to my car!

I’ve had two cars with Alcantara steering wheels and they’ve both been fine without gloves. It can be cleaned easily with mild detergent, but that’s not that necessary unless you have very sweaty or greasy hands

The Hungant gloves look nice. On a recent trip to Europe I stumbled upon a handmade glove shop in Pecs, Hungary. They had beautiful gloves and my wife and I bought 4 pair , which says a lot since my spouse usually avoids buying anything when we’re on vacation, despite my encouragement. Check out their website which looks to have prices somewhat more expensive than at their store, but they do have a “buy 3, get one free” option:

FWIW I have an alcantara steering wheel and oddly enough, just my left hand gets sweaty. So I was looking for some nice driving gloves and pleased to find this shop in Hungary.

I have lined gloves both in brown and black, which I've been wearing when it's cold. In the morning, the metal shift knob is like grabbing a block of ice. I have the leather steering wheel, and the combination of gloves and wheel is really good. I don't have to grip the wheel as firmly when I'm wearing the gloves. I got a pair of non-lined leather driving gloves which I'm going to use in the summer.

Autodromo are the usual go-to for gloves...they also make sure to leave room for your rad watch (whatever you are wearing)
Issue is these are like superglue when the steering wheel is also leather but they do not have enough friction on alcantara wheels...so I loaded up on these from Amazon and they are phenomenal!

great designs, super thin light breathable, very grippy to alcantara, I must have like 5 pairs in different designs - really I have tested like everything out these to me are the most comfortable and cheap. Again get a few of them the designs are fun and can probably match your car or just get black.

I have Alcantara on my 2021 RS5 and the i4. I use this on the Audi every 3-4 months (more often in summer) and the steering wheel is still perfect after 4 years and 29000 miles. I did get a pair of open fingers gloves for summer since you tends to sweat more on a hot steering wheel but have not tried it yet.

I bought sparco hypergrip+ and they have greatly improved the driving experience. Super grippy on alcantara steering wheel. While the steering and shifting are great, they do require a bit too much effort than my liking (I have also installed short shifter). The gloves can relieve the pressure on hands.

Those look equally awesome, think about it they are built to be super thin so you have maximum feel, but lots of grip and keeps sweat off the bars/wheel 👍

Yep they're very thin. No padding or anything
