Hi Collective Emira hive mind,

Tried searching for this in the forum but the search drops ECS as its only 3 letters.

I went for a 230 mile drive to the south coast today, had a nice run (with now working AC 👍🙂 ) however on the way back at about 210 miles a red warning triangle came up with the warning ECS Service Required.

This also stopped the Cruise Control from working as well as the parking sensors.

Has anyone had the same issue and had it looked at by Lotus?

Looked though the manual and cannot find what this actually means.

Interestingly when I went back out to the car some 20 mins later and started the engine again it had dissappeared.

Am at Lotus Silverstone on Tuesday to have my paint blisters looked at so will also ask them, luckily I took photos and a video of the fault.

Cheers

Nellie

Are the sensors dirty by any chance? Maybe try to clean them up and see if that fixes your issues

Sensors were okay, following the self-reset a month ago it has not repeated its alarm condition so I can only assume it might have been a temporary glitch.

Thanks

Known gremlin, nothing the shop can do besides making sure software is up to date (or of course check/replace sensors if it occurs regularly). Possibly error prone ABS sensors on the Emira. Also sometimes shows up as ABS error.

Driving a few kilometers (usually 20-30km in my cases) should clear them. Otherwise parking for a few minutes might help (as you figured).

Should you hit ESC + Engine limited power get your software checked - early bug that should be long fixed now.

Thanks for the heads up 👍🙂

I think at the moment my Emira is on the most recent update as its always going to the dealer for one thing or another 🤔

If it happens again I will ask them if there is a newer update to put on the car.

Got the double error message this morning. Will have to send it to dealer to see if they have an update.
