Hi guys...

Random one --- I never took my Exige into a multi storey as I knew it would not have coped with the angle changes with its front splitter however, I have to take my Emira to the airport (long story) and nervous about the angles etc. Has anyone taken their Emira into a multi story and was it ok/scraped or just clearly a non starter?

Thanks and appreciated

I haven't had any issues with ramps or speed bumps with my Emira, but the norms may be different in the UK.

Plenty of members here from the UK, I'm sure someone will chime in.

Not specifically been to any airport multi-stories but I had a few speed bumps where my M3 would scrape and so far the Emira has not so clearance looks good. My main concern with those carparks is how ludicrously narrow the ramps, turns and spaces are. They seem to be designed for car dimensions from 20 years ago.

Yes, Andy my concern as well!! Will let you know how I get on.

If you hear of carnage at BHX Main Short Stay car park because a car is stuck on the ramp its me :ROFLMAO::eek:

Have used the Emira in an 80’s airport multi storey with no problems. Only had to use it as the daily drive was in for some work, would never have done it out of choice. Turned out it was a bit of a blessing as it gave me a lot more confidence in the usability of the car.

Not had a problem with angle of the ramps. But did scuff the corner of the bumper on a spiral ramp that was very tight with a raised kerb in front of the wall

I've always considered the Metric system a hurdle.

Glad to hear the angle of the ramps has been doable! I’ll watch out for the spirals!!

I use multi-story car-parks in High Wycombe (e.g. Wycombe Swan) that are very tight and the google reviews even mention this. They're some of the tightest I've experienced. I wouldn't take my GTR in there, but the Emira is fine although I still wince when I go round the corners. Ramps are fine, no grounding. Often instead I go by motorbike; that just eliminates the problem completely!

Terminal 5 short stay at Heathrow was fine for me and I'll let you know if Terminal 3 is OK next week!

I haven't scraped the front yet (touch wood) so clearance is pretty good.

Thanks for all the replies!! Birmingham airport car park 3 - got in no problems! Will let you know if I get out no problems!!!

Given me massive confidence on the ground clearance compared to the exige with a splitter. Love all the splitters people are adding to their émiras but makes me worry that if I went that route I’d be in the same place as before - although they look sick 💪💪

Got out no problems, very confident in using in multi storey car parks with the elevation changes etc !

You can also fit a surprisingly large amount of luggage in an emira compared to an exige!
