Emira Car Covers

So do we know which of the specialised products relate to the two covers available for the Emira? Prestige and Prestige Elite?

How much is one of these Emira poly tunnel?
Based on my research, I think these inflatables can be purchased for $400 plus shipping (Shanghai) direct from a manufacturer, depending on the amount of customization. For example if you add a floor (which I would prefer), or an interior fan to add air circulation. PM me for details and I can share with you what I found.

Don’t have a car to put into it though! 😂 looks good for winter storage in my garage.

How much are they charging for indoor fitted cover?
It was originally advertised for £400, but a month ago i noticed they had a sale on, so i got it for £360. Sorry, i do not know the current availability and prices for the covers.

In the UK the indoor and outdoor covers are available via your dealer, from TheLotusForums online shop and the shop at Hethel if you are collecting from the factory. Indoor is £399 and outdoor £499.

Have any owners bought an outdoor cover yet?

I have a generic outdoor cover from Halfords, it fits well enough but not perfect. I went for the "large" size because the Emira needs the width but it is too long so sticks out over front and back and sits slightly on the ground. It is meant to be breathable but there is always condensation on the car when I take the cover off, but it has been wet and cold every day since it went on so that could be the reason. Seems to protect it from bird droppings, stones, leaves etc pretty well and even with a layer of snow on top which melted onto the cover it was still only the little bit of condensation underneath.

For around £60 it is pretty good, I'm sure the official outdoor cover would be better but it is a massive saving!

How tight is it on width? The Medium size looks to be only 5 cm narrower.
I have been thinking of picking up something, mostly just to keep the leaves off, but £500 for the Lotus one is way more than I want to spend.

I have an EXCELLENT car cover for the Ferrari. It stayed looking good all through the autumn and the first part of winter, until I stuck it in the garage.

Fits well, water beads off it and the inside is soft. Been delighted with it.

This is perhaps less than useful though as I cannot for the life of me remember who I got it from. It was not cheap but did excel in every area, such as dust protection, sunlight, rain, weight and fit.

I will check the tag when I get back from holiday on7th Jan. Will stick it on here.

The Lotus covers are made by Specialised Car Covers. They don't have the Emira listed yet but their Universal and Evora outdoor covers are slightly cheaper than the Lotus OEM ones:

Thanks for the heads up. If the price for their Emia is about like the Evora, then even with shipping, it is about $150 cheaper than Lotus. If I could just coordinate a work trip around when it would be ready for delivery then could just bring back on the plane :)

Before doing up the straps underneath it just touches the ground on the sides. You might be ok with the medium one if only 5cm difference. Is the height the same too? The Emira is wider than the width of the large size but shorter so that makes up for it a bit, if the medium is narrower and shorter in height then it might be too small.

Thanks, the final dimension looked to be the same on both.

I think I’ve taken car covers a bit too far… lol this finally arrived after about 6 weeks.
Needs a few days (?) to straighten out having been compressed on a boat for weeks, and I need to inflate it a bit more.
Fits perfectly, i sized it for both Emira and Evora (I bought two). Size wise it’s precisely how I specified it. I need a bit more time to evaluate overall, but so far i think I’ll be happy.

That's completely rediculous... I love it!
