I finally got around to taking my cheap one from Amazon out of the package, and it turns out it fits OK. Should be fine for casual/intermittent use. It's super soft, so no concern about the paint.

I wouldn't use it long term to keep dust sealed out, but for occasional use in a semi-protected space where you want to keep stuff from blowing onto the car, it should work fine.

Question for this group. I plan to get my car fully wrapped and it will be garaged. However, I have a cat that loves to sit on cars. My last car, when he tried to jump off, he sort of slid down instead with claws out and scratched the paint pretty badly . That sucked.

Maybe the PPF is enough, but I’m also wondering if an indoor cover from Lotus might be a good consideration. But maybe it will attract the cat even more because it’s soft and warm? Not sure if others have some opinion on this from experience.

Also, can you put these covers on a car that is a little dirty? It looks like a tight fit, and I imagine dirt particles sticking to it easily potentially marring the paint (or film in this case).

This is the cover I am using. It's made for the Evora but fits the Emira like a glove. It is definitely not for outside use and probably won't do much to stop a motivated cat, but it's soft, stretch and keeps the dust off. I can’t speak to the cat concern haha but generally animals like soft things. experience on the dust particles, the car should be completely clean before putting the cover on. Any dirt or dust will be dragged across the car if it’s not clean. One of the crappy parts about using a car cover

It's English and ships from the UK, so for about £300 (including £80shipping!) it's not the least expensive but not the most costly either. I went with their "Ultimate Outdoor Car Cover" with mirror pockets (an optional add on for £25) and not their more-than-twice-as-expensive custom fit version of that cover because it seemed like the off-the-shelf fit would be nearly as good. Once I have my wheels and my cover, I will try to remember to report back with some pix.

I had to bite the bullet and get the Lotus indoor car cover … and I have to say I don’t regret it one bit even if it was overpriced.
It looks fantastic, fits the car like a glove, every seam falls on perfectly where it should be, it also covers the wheels which is great and the inside is very soft.

I also really like the logo and print on the front and back of the cover.

have an ACed garage with an ERV system, VOC filter and HEPA filtering system and I still get dust so this cover will help. I also do a lot of craft stuff in my garage like airbrushing etc and I would hate for over spray to get on the car so for me it was worth investing in a really nice indoor cover, especially for a car that I intend to keep for ever.

Wasn't particularly price sensitive about it, but figured pockets would just be more of a faff when fitting and removing the cover. Plus, I thought stretching out over the mirrors would make more vertical-ish surface for water / muck to run off, rather than a horizontal surface for stuff to settle on

I ordered one of these through the dealer last year without asking what the price was (idiot!).

They called when it arrived then casually announced it was more than AU$1000…

The mirrors are a very tight fit - 1st attempt to put it on i really thought theyd sent one thats too small.

Will it be ok putting the cover on if its a lil wet from drizzle?

Having just done an 800 mile round trip to rainy Lanark in Scotland last weekend I can understand the need for a cover!
I don't have a cover but I don't think it would be a good idea putting it on a wet car.
What I would say is if the car is clean and wet and it has stopped raining you could use a drying towel to dry it off quickly.
I used one yesterday for the first time after washing my car and it dried the whole car in one go, which I was amazed at.

I have a brand new never used external cover - it's still in the sack and has never been removed. But I am about to get a garage, so I'm looking for the internal cover.

If anyone has a new internal cover and is interested in a straight swap let me know. The external cover retails at +£100 over the internal one so it'd be a free upgrade
