Also cross shopping a base 718, you of course know about the long gearing. I paid special attention on my Emira test drive to see if it was alive in third gear 45-60 mph, I found it GREAT there, really sold me on the manual 6 v the dct 4. Car is perfect for my ripping around without tickets etc

Emira's gearing is slightly better.... Remember, they complain about the flat 6 gearing, because the engine rev's to 8K not the Emira's 6,800 RPM. If the Emira rev'd to 8K RPM it would also have a similar issue. The lower RPM redline works better with the manual... although I still want 7,200 redline would be perfect.

Yup I like the down low street gearing.

Not direct replacement, as my EX460 was mainly for track and Emira is for street, but that car made me to appreciate Lotus brand. Most of my sportcars have been Porsches.

Lotus Elise Sprint 220

I just sold it yesterday. So sad now.
But Emira should fill my heart very ‘soon’.

Sold for Emira: Elise MK 2 with Komo Tec Honda K20a conversion

Sold Cayman late August - was annoyed when Emira delayed a few days later, but looking what’s happened to prices since it may have been good move

This year it‘s 17 years now with my Opel Speedster Turbo, which is also known as Type 116. This car told me what lightness can mean and the advantages it has. Still a visceral experience everytime I get behind the wheel.
