I wouldn't hold your breath for a very insightful review on TG.
The GR Yaris episode was just skidding with dubbed noise from something with more cylinders. It didn't do any harm to the order books though.

That's what it sounds like inside! #fakenoise 😆

So far all the different TG preview and teaser segments on BBC show the Emira sideways!

If im going sideways it’s because I’m in the middle of having a crash. Never quite understood why they spend so much time reviewing road cars like this.

I just see that and wonder how much it will cost to replace the tyres. I’m definitely getting older.

I think the Harris preview may actually be pretty good. He's driving in the rain, so tire performance in the dry is not something he'll be talking about. He'll likely be talking about how different it is from his old Lotus; ease of getting in and out, upgraded interior, and more refined driving dynamics. He'll probably talk about his old Lotus in sentimental terms, but be realistic enough to acknowledge how this new Lotus is what it needs to be.

You’ve made me think: do motorbike reviewers pull wheelies and judge a bikes fun on that? Will have to go look now… :)

Here's another new (I think) review article but this time written by someone with an Emira on order: https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-reviews/2023-lotus-emira-review-first-drive

Great advice plastered on the track, timed perfectly for today's historic market capitulation:

Here's the IG link which should let you scroll through the embedded pictures from within this thread.

Same. I'm confident in my sport chassis w/Goodyears spec. Harry complained about the ride being rougher than he liked on sport chassis with the Cup2s. Tires make a BIG difference in ride quality and I've driven on Cup2s before. I'm sure it will be a bit more compliant and quieter with the Goodyear Eagle F1s. I'm scheduled to take delivery in November and we typically see below freezing temps and snow anywhere between December - March near me. Even if I was looking at a spring/summer delivery, I still would have speced the F1s for the performance versatility and tread life.
Same. page here.

This sums up the outcome from most of the reviews:

"It may not be enough to really worry Porsche because the 718 Cayman is so bloody good, but it does give sports car enthusiasts another high class option with similarly impressive performance, refinement and versatility. "

So if the brief was for the Emira to be "THE other sportscar" it sounds like that box has been ticked.

Just had lunch with Chris and asked him about his impression of the Emira. Without spoiling too much, It's going to be an entertaining clip
Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing!

I had dinner with Jethro and he said he was kidding just to see the reaction of forum members. Then Harry invited me to his garage and we had a James' Gin.

James, another fanboy here. What you two have done with your channel over the past 3 years is nothing short of incredible.

It’s also a treat to have a celebrity join us here. If you’re ever in NorCal (Thunderhill or Sonoma) and want to rip around in my SS1LE or eventually my Emira, you have an open invitation.

Keep the TH entertainment coming and please do an Emira review… even if it means you fly your asses to the UK!
