After building a monster Elise (are the ex-LT folks here now?) that was K20/24 with ITB powered, and then an incredibly built Alfa Romeo 4C with alcohol injection...I am the super excited owner of a Zinc Grey Emira in the I4 config. What a gorgeous machine can't wait to start tinkering with it. I drove it for a total of 30 minutes from the dealer to the PPF shop...and now am overseas for work so it's kind of killing me there's this amazing machine waiting for me back at home. Hope to see some of you SoCal people out in the canyons, and especially any of you from the old Elise/Exige days out in Malibu. I'll do some proper photos of the new machine once she's all done up (y)

um...you have boxes of stuff and haven't even taken delivery of your Emira yet lol!
Love the energy here. In the words of Billy Idol " Too much is never enough"
Love the massive diffusor on the Elise

ability to dice things that happen to get under the car is a benefit 😂 that thing was incredible, but you know, got married wasn't at the track that much anymore and needed a "civilized" second car...which is my logic for getting the Emira from the 4C (! 😂)

ok first drive up in the canyons on a relatively stock I4 (lowered 10mm, Tarox Corsa pads)

compared the 4C, less steering feel (hydraulic vs manual), and certainly not close to steering feel in the Elise
very light steering weight...for me at least hard to tell what's going on mid corner but that's just me, have to adjust to the power steering
heavy (heavier) than last two fun cars
a positive is the pads warm up faster because the car is heavier
no comment on power other than under 4K lots of torque (still breaking in)
Emira likes to change direction quickly and doesn't complain
very factory Lotus feel in suspension travel, even with Sports suspension car is pretty soft and floaty, lots of body roll...again very Lotus in philosophy and some drivers love this approach to feeling where the weight is

overall very fun! my 4C was super dialed in basically a track car with solid mounts, tons of power, lots of suspension work, steering rack mods, weighed 600lbs less, etc. so not fair to compare a street car with it, but...mostly just aware of the extra weight - really not bad for a comfortable street car, will make a drive to Vegas way more enjoyable than doing that in the 4C :)

oh last mention it's very easy to left foot brake in the Emira because the brakes are so touchy, helps in this case...felt very sim to left foot brake, again very easy
