Used the car today. At low speed I can be in first gear, foot off the throttle, and the car will move forward continually, no loss of speed. In second the same. Doesn’t seem to want more revs, certainly shows no sign of stalling. Idle seems a little under 1k rpm. Normal?

I have noticed the same thing in first and second. In other manual cars, the car would bog and perhaps even stall in second at slow speeds with no throttle. The Emira appears to maintain the idle speed necessary to avoid this.

Probably anything with e-throttle these days has some form of anti-stall so that when revs get low enough it can add more throttle to avoid a stall, within reason.

A couple of things:
1. This is pretty normal. All of the V6+ cars I've owned (even non-drive-by-wire) have had enough torque under idle to easily push the car along in low gear.
2. Track mode in the Emira raises the idle rpms for some reason. This is documented in the user manual, I believe.

Also if you press the clutch to the floor and then slowly release it (even in neutral), you can see the car will raise the revs a little at some point in the clutch travel and then let them fall again. I'm not sure why it does that, but maybe it is trying to help with anti-stall?

I think it throws off the rhythm when trying to granny start a smooth departure. Having the car inject a little throttle on top of what I'm doing, and stop doing that while I'm working the clutch isn't helpful to me, but it's not a big deal.
