How is the V6 Manual doing on the used US market these days?

Nimbus seems to be among the lesser-desirable colors from what I've seen (example in quoted post below), but regardless, if you go back and read my post, you'll understand that I referred to the spec as being undersirable, not Nimbus itself. IMO, the silver wheels clash with both Nimbus and blackpack,and I absolutely believe that this spec is hurting the car's value.

I mean, by that logic, based on the screenshot you provided, dark verdant would be "the most desirable color" (which is untrue), and those should be getting a premium. Well...One just sold on BAT for 87k.....

Again, the spec had little to do with it. That's just what they go for on the used market...for now.

I do agree though that the silver wheels don't go great with nimbus. Easy and cheap fix if someone were to want to get them refinished. All colors are subjective. I personally think the "least desirable" colors are the dark colors that don't show the beautiful emira lines well- dark verdant, shadow grey, meridian- all 3 of these colors look almost the same (black) unless in bright sunlight. A lot of people also ordered the dark verdant before they realized how dark it actually was (I know several that were trying to change their spec). I saw a dark verdant in person and immediately said nope. Showed every scratch and just didn't pop like british racing green or the porsche green metallics, was just too dark. That being said... the color has little to do with the resale and the emira is beautiful and an amazing experience no matter the color.

I disagree, color combos do make a differences. The demand for a rare color is real. Gen 1 NSX GPW goes for a crazy premium and the same goes for the Emira. It's a basic supply/demand market.

I didn't say it didn't affect the resale at all, i just said it is only does by a little. Most used emiras regardless of spec will fetch the 85-90k on the used market.... There isn't any specific "rare spec" emira that will fetch a significant premium and get you all your money back...other than maybe the metallic green and amber limited edition colors that were announced....maybe

The majority of emiras sold were first editions which had no difference in price so you could choose any color...

Porsche, for example, has some color options that were a nearly 10-20k additional cost, which is another reason why they are rare and may fetch a premium.

Lol. I have an emira. Would love for the values to stay high as I paid the 109k MSRP. Not that it really matters though since it is unlikely that i'll sell it anytime soon

But, that’s just my view. It’s neither right nor wrong.

Back to the topic, if used Emiras are selling for 90k in the US, that’s actually not bad depreciation for a car that is still in production.

Once the V6 manual stops I expect values to be pretty strong going forward.

The white on Hondas fetch a higher price because of their connection to the type R color way. Yes colors matter sometimes, but often times it’s because of a tie to the brand heritage or model not just preference.

Because you can custom spec the emira I think you will get some Superman and McDonald colors that will just not appeal to most people. Otherwise the standard colors and combos I think are generally all equally valuable. Price variance likely more to do with the market and vehicle condition.

Usually found on late model Mercedes with loud V8s and driven aggressively by people who look like, well, drug dealers…

I'm not really sure what you're basing your claims on. In a previous post you claimed that "Nimbus is one of the most desirable colors" and in this post you claimed that Dark Verdant is not the most desirable color without any kind of evidence and while ignoring the gathered statistics that were presented.

You may be surprised to hear that I absolutely agree with you that dark colors are the least desirable for the Emira in my personal opinion. I'd take Nimbus over Dark Verdant and Shadow Gray, for example. However, I've based my previous claims of desirability (or lack thereof for Nimbus) here on gathered statistics.

And about Dark Verdant, I was shocked to hear that it was the most preordered color at my dealer, so while I disagree with it as a choice, I recognize that it may very well be the "most desirable" color. It seems like everything you're saying is purely based on emotion.

And sure, my belief that color/spec affects the value might not be as impactful as I think

A while back, someone on the forum was compiling a list of cars delivered, what dealer, and the colors (maybe just US, can't remember). It was voluntary for people to contribute to, so not a complete list for sure. And since color is not part of the VIN code, the list from @Nova woudn't help with this. It would be interesting to have such a list now, to see the distribution of colors actually delivered.

Personally, I can tell you from my almost 3 years on this forum that many ordered their cars before seeing the color in person, and in the early stages before cars were delivered, Nimbus seemed to be one of the top choices and certainly the most talked about color for a variety of reasons. Verdant was "aspirational" I believe as many hoped for a truly GREEN Emira, and some were disappointed, and/or changed their spec when they saw the car in person. I personally would have liked a green, possibly BRG Emira, but wasn't fooled into thinking Verdant was going to fit the bill for me, even before I saw it in person. Years ago I had a Nissan Maxima, VERY dark green over tan and was constantly frustrated that you could only tell it was green in the brightest of sun. Almost always mistaken for black. Later I swapped it for an Oxford green BMW 540. Now THAT car was GREEN!

Lastly, when I saw a gathering of Emiras with nearly all the colors represented at Car Week in Monterey in 2023, I decided there was simply NO bad colors for the Emira, all were simply stunning, and I needed to have one of each! Unfortunately, my wallet and garage space said otherwise. And this is where personal preference came into play.

My “claims” are just based off of things I see on these forums (same as you) during the last 3 years that I’ve been checking them every day while I was waiting for my order to arrive. I do think verdant was over ordered in the beginning before people realized how dark it was. It’s not as frequent of an ordered color anymore and I stand by my statement that I do not think it is “the most desirable color.” Meanwhile, the nimbus photo thread on these forums have literally twice as many pages as any other photo thread. At the end of the day, we are talking about colors and it literally doesn’t matter

Factually not true. Black and Red ones are most common color, if you have a Circuit Blue, those goes even higher than GPW. It's not because it's a connection to "type r" it's because the color is desirable.

Scenca blue, Yellow, Silver and Verdant Green is the most common color.

With the base Emira pricing (at least in the US), Seneca blue and magma red will be the most expensive paint (priced as a 1950 option), I’m gonna say they will be the most sought after or least.
