I feel like I've made a mistake ordering my Emira....

I previously created a post about light/bright vs darker colors. I think if the sky were overcast more often than sunny, I'd get a lighter color (Nimbus grey or Hethel yellow) because yes, the side contours are much more visible. But here in Southern California, It is mostly sunny, especially between April and December, so DV is at the top of my list. The downside is that in order to see the sides of the car illuminated by the sun, it's have to be during morning or mid-to late afternoon.
I shy away from Nimbus grey because SO many vehicles out here are silver or grey.

Also, I'm a bit puzzled how some people here in the US were encouraged to spec their reserved Emiras during the same time as the reservation payment. I was asked to select a powertrain choice, only.

Have questioned my choice of Ice interior over the Tan for my DV more times than I care to mention...in the early photos when I was configuring tan looked too orange for me, though now I think it looks great. In the end I want to spend more time driving it than looking at it, so any colour is going to be great.

It's hard for me to believe that a light color seat will not at some point show rubbed in stains from something. I have black leather seats in one of my cars and even after I change the oil (laying on the driveway surface), I never see any discoloration. My old Corvette had tan leather seats and I had no problem with them, either. Leather does not like sunscreen, so beware.

If it makes you feel any better I have ordered Nimbus but had a Seneca for a couple of hours and when everyone asked what colour I was getting and I said silver they all went why didn’t you get the blue….. It looked fantastic!!!!

Sadly I canceled, bought an R8, recently traded for Shelby GT350R. Maybe someday look at Emira again when they have a special edition with all of the bugs ironed out if it.

Which bugs set you apart from the emira ?

Do you know there are already a lot of customers with no problems

I suppose the gt350r is a perfect car .
Maybe I have to see the second market about this cars here

Year 2026, lotus launch the emira NBE, non-bugs edition

Not following... reservation was in July 2021, spec was early March 2022 for the first wave of cars.

Thanks, I'm not really upset, I love my choice ;) But it's like being at an ice cream store and having to pick only one flavor/scoop.

Nice pic!

I'll have to PPF the leather

The dealership let you have the car for a few hours? Aussies are clearly good people!

Carpro cquartz leather 2.0

I also applied for the carpets and some parts in textil carpro Fabric , more easy to clean in future
I visited the dealer today to take a look at my car. The Ice grey with DV is a stellar combo, very happy with my choice. Ordered some Gtechniq ceramic coat for the leather, should keep it in good shape.

Seneca with ice was my 2nd choice, it's still an awesome spec, it's just we've seen the most of it by a mile so possibly just a bit of a familiarity creeping in where as other colours were kept under wraps for so long.

Nimbus with Tan was always a gamble for me off a couple of tiny discs years ago but colour is my trade so I had faith and for me it paid off 😁 (other colours are available)

Love it!! The little emblem changes to black elevate the look. Very nice, congratulations - I'm officially jealous, but also happy for you :)

Still looking forward to mine. I wouldn't even know which spec to change it to if Lotus did allow it. I can see at least 3-30 different variations in my garage 🙃
