So after a few weeks with the emira i4 I can say I like the engine sound overall but it’s no V6.
In sport or race there are some nice pops on the overrun. It makes some nice wastegate dump valve noises and as the revs rise these is a good bit of 4 cylinder exhaust note. I’m pretty sure nothing is synthesised in the cabin. For motorway cruising I knock it into quiet mode.
Overall it sounds exactly like an angry 4 cylinder engine should.
Between sport and Race I think the valves stay open sooner in race and I’d quite like the option to use race exhaust settings with sport if I could
