Anyone else had something similar - have to decide in next 5 days to get “earlier” option. My car was not due until Q2 2024 so no idea how soon “earlier” means….

Me too. What is the turn around time from confirming your final configuration to receiving the car - any advice welcomeAnyone else had something similar - have to decide in next 5 days to get “earlier” option. My car was not due until Q2 2024 so no idea how soon “earlier” means….
Actually, I just had the same, but when I look at the portal, it is someone else's car I think who has cancelled. It is a Seneca Blue First Edition, and configuration can't be changed.Anyone else had something similar - have to decide in next 5 days to get “earlier” option. Good news then! It‘s different for me - just logged in and there is an option to change my original configuration so not a cancellation.
Same email for me, I put my deposit down 4 weeks ago. It does still say priority will still be given based on deposit date and config lock date. Mines for a V6 auto so maybe get it late this year or early next year?? I’ve just bought a cancelled order from a dealer anyway while I wait for my V6 auto to come. Happy Days!Had the same email today - Spec was exactly as I had originally put on my reservation. When logged into My Lotus, there was the option to "Change My Configuration" (which I didn't click on, as no need to change from my original spec). I went ahead with the "Confirm Order" option.
I would speculate that this may be a blanket email campaign to more recent depositors (I deposited in early Jan 2023), for Lotus to get a firmer idea on the amount of people still 'in' perhaps (I believe early depositors in most regions have completed this "Confirm Order" step already).
It is the use of these specific words in the email that are interesting though, and may suggest something a little different: "If you would like to be driving an Emira earlier than you’re currently expecting, we are able to offer an opportunity to improve your current production estimate. To seize the opportunity and progress your reservation, you will need to confirm your Emira configuration in My Lotus before 12pm 29 March 2023." I do believe this wording differs from previous emails for this stage, so perhaps there is actually something behind this for us more recent (UK?) depositors???
... Would perhaps be interesting to see if there are any recent depositors who HAVEN'T received this email yet, or if any have, but with different wording (thinking it may also be UK only at this point, or at least restricted to certain regions).
I wonder how quickly they can switch the chassis production from LHD to RHD? Or if they have a stock of RHD to crack on with.My hunch is they were expecting to switch production to focus on builds for the US around now but have been caught out by delays in gaining US approvals. US dealers have advised extra delays to customers in the last few weeks, along with a second batch of V6 FEs to be made available before Base Editions.
So instead of building US cars to sit at a port for 6 months, I reckon they've switched priorities to UK cars for the next 4-6 months, in effect bringing forward 100s of UK builds.
They'll make more revenue and profit on those than on 100s of US cars sat at a port not delivered to customers and hence balances not paid.
Hi. Yes the change config worked on mine all ok. Seems like its quite a generic email and every bugger has got it! Delivery is still based on deposit and config dates and if you speak to CS they can’t actually tell you how much earlier.Has anyone managed to get the ‘change my configuration’ function to work? I get directed to an empty white screen. I’ve tried my phone, laptop and work PC all with the same result. I also called customer services but they’re unable to help until Monday. Any help appreciated! Ta
