Emira on order
This is going to be really track oriented and absolutely not a problem if you aren’t a track rat.

Emira’s camber can only be maxed out at -1.3 on the front and 1.5 on the rears. After finishing my break in I immediately took mine to the track. While the rest of the car felt great, the alignment was pretty underwhelming. Not only it felt not sharp but it also managed to kill the outside of my tires within 2 sessions. That’s some hilarious driving feel but also hilariously bad for Track use.

I’ve spoken to the GT4 team that won the Macau race with the emira and they report the same problems having limited adjustments. The best solution is to have a set of control arm made for the front and rears which will allow much more camber adjustments suitable for track use. A set was quoted for roughly $10,000 CAD forged 7075 Aluminum. That’s completely outside of a reasonable price range just to get more camber.

Have anyone came across any other mods more sensible in terms of allowing more cambers on the car?

The Macau team had mentioned a set of eccentric shims for allowing it up to 2.25 for camber but they aren’t available for purchase for retail customers.

sincerely hoping for more mods to become available to unleash the full potential of the chassis!

Adjustable arms are a common mod on Elige. I imagine it's just a matter of time before the aftermarket has a reasonable solution.
for sure! I loved how it drives so really hoping for mods to become more common to be able to fully enjoy this car.

That seems very limited indeed. I’m surprised that’s the case on a car celebrated for handling prowess.

Especially the EU and Asian market had the car for 2 years now I thought parts would have already been readily available 😂

There are aftermarket camber-adjustable upper control arms available for the Evora from Blackwatch Racing, for both the front and the rear of the car. I don't know how different these are from the Emira arms and it would need some significant work directly with Blackwatch Racing to find out.

I found these camber shims however from the notes, the camber slots have to be machined to install these. I wonder if that's the same for the Macau team's solution.

I'd like to see if aftermarket eccentric shims are a possibility before going to control arms.

I'd like to see aftermarket aluminum control arms with the adjustment capabilities for the Emira.

I think there are already many aftermarket control arm options in the Chinese market. Just not available in the US yet.

Any update on options? I got more than two sessions, but it is the outside of the tires that wore out.

I can get you upgraded front and rear control arms for way less from my tuner, PM me if interested.

Pretty much all the essential aftermarket parts are available in China except ecu mod, the only problem is not many vendors are interested in dealing international buyers.

Quick question. You say front camber is maxed out at -1.3. What is the stock camber setting on the Emira?

As I felt like turn in didnt feel that good and thought whenever I get an Emira first mod would be to increase camber at the front. So I am quiet curious what the stock setting is and if gling to max -1.3 would make any difference. With what camber setting did you drive it on the track?

Thanks

I'm not sure what they intend, but measuring mine, it's about -.5.

I'm looking to save tire wear. So I'll go to the max to start. My friend seems to know this stuff. He thought start at -2.0 to -2.5 or so, before we knew about this limitation.

3 serious driver drove my car on the track. They all liked it. I'm new, but I was riding close to (most of) the Porsche in the turns, so they let me pass. That is an intermediate group. But the Posche's with good drivers left me in the dust in the straight away.

-2.5 seems a bit much, at least if you have the Goodyears and stock suspension. I am not sure but back in the days I believe my Track Audi TTS by Raeder Motorsport (Dunlop Direzzas with KW Clubsport suspension) was at around -2.5 and that cars turn in was fantastic.

Can anyone confirm -.5 (front) on stock Emira (seems a bit low to me for what this car is but it would confirm the turn in feel I got on the testdrive)?

Standard front camber is around -0.8. It’s double wishbone so not too much needed. Camber won’t help with turn in, but can improve corner grip. Too much negative and you’ll get decreased breaking grip. When on track measure temps across tyre to get the best setup for the circuit. You can get sharper turn in with more front toe out. You’ll want to harden up your spring and damper combo too. I recommend going at least 80/130 Nm/mm front/rear for track. This will start to get on the harsh side for road but not overly. Standard sports springs are 60/115
