[LACM] "Los Angeles Canyon Meet"

Malibu Canyons / Angeles Crest / etc, Scenic drives

Lets get a small group of 3-6 cars going on a weekend to enjoy the great weather and an excuse to drive on some fun hairpins and switchbacks.

watch this thread for more info like routes and photos of the group.

Coffee/juice/snacks meet prior to jogging into the canyons with a stop after for lunch before we disband.

BRING WATER! (sports top bottle is preferred for quick and easy dispensing)

It’s very dry and hot right now you are going to need it.

IMPORTANT: Download an off line map. there is no reception in most of the canyon and navigation will not work without an offline map.

Rules:
No unsafe driving (i.e. splitting lanes, racing, or overtaking unless in safe situation where waved by or vehicle pulls off the road).

No showboating and please be courteous of traffic (oncoming, runners, cyclists or otherwise).
Most of this route is residential.

Keep at least 20ft distance from your lead car in order for you to have adequate room for braking.

I can't make it either day this coming weekend, but if you do this again in the future I’d be interested. I’d also be up for a GVBC run on a Friday morning sometime.

would love to check this out!

If you get the car back before Sunday you are good. switching to Sunday.

How can you tell. I mean it was built a few months back. How much longer could it need. I figured I was safe now that the bubbling paint has been resolved. I also have an extended paint warranty.

Unfortunately you wont know until you go to replace the wrap later.

best to get it done right by a good installer. (y)

I have an installer who specializes in paint correction so I assume he'll let me know what's wrong before he puts it on. He's installing STEK Dynoshield and I think it has a 10 year warranty but Im sure some pieces will be replaced in that time span.

I have the same STEK. Happy with it. Looks super glossy.
