Lotus Emira De-badged

I don't mind a logo or even the brand name like Lotus or Porsche, but I've never understood why we want our cars to be covered in information like the specific model name, its engine size, the trim level, the fact it has a turbo charger and other detail.

It's just marketing and pure social signalling, when you think about it. Otherwise why would they stick a badge on the back that says Panamera Turbo S and not just Panamera (or a just a Porsche).

Or a Porsche Taycan Turbo - that doesn't even have a turbo!

What irks me more than de-badging is addition of cheesy decals and badges like:
* Poorsche decals on VW Beetles

Everyone knows that it's the Porsches that should be wearing the Beetle decals. =D

I’m thinking of removing the front Emira badge filling the dip, repainting and putting the Lotus Emblem as a decal (minus the outside circle. My order is for Mist white and I think that would look perfect.

My reason: I hate how the yellow clashes haha

you could buy an emblem thats a different color. sure would be a lot easier and cheaper

That 'coffee ' has been known to add lightness.

I'm going to tell people it's a Geely which to most will sound super exotic!

They were very labour intensive to make, as they're pretty much one-offs, so nowhere near financially viable for me to make to sell.

You can see in this thread what a ball ache it was....

Hi guys, thought I'd share a few pics of my DV Emira which has a few small aesthetic mods, for anyone that's interested. Full PPF from GVE in Uxbridge (discounted 10% thanks to Ade's video), roof centre area is black PPF. Rear tailgate glass dark tint (so the whole centreline of car is black)...

I think removing the yellow wheel badges for black and then add a nice yellow shield on the front fender.. have nice design in mind with the ABC logo and without the LOTUS lettering..
