Interesting article I recently came across. Geely wants to sell 150k units by 2028 and ear-mark a third of that production for the US. Which leaves me questioning why the US has been an afterthought for Emira delivery. Is it logical to assume that Lotus wanted extra time to trouble shoot production before launching US cars due to the sparse dealer network?

Puff piece before public stock offering in the US? - I doubt we will see a US factory anytime this decade.

I don't think Chinese companies are going to have an easy time doing any kind of IPO in the US any time soon. The Hikvision and ByteDance/TikTok debacles have pretty much insured a very rocky road for Chinese-owned entities trying to apply the fig leaf of public incorporation to their US operations.
 
You never know, we have a tendency here to turn a blind eye to anything deemed "GREEN" whether it be for the planet or the pocket.
