I’ve got a 2025 Emira on the way but I gotta say these laundry lists of issues folks are having with their 24s is a major turn off. Has anyone heard if we can expect the majority of issues to be resolved for the model year 2025 cars?

...low volume hand built british sports car, think it comes with the territory - yes even for $100k. I don't even think we know what waves of issues are coming as mileage get higher, especially for the I4 since they are basically new. Worth it though, the car is so gorgeous and has so much potential

I have a 2024 and have no issues, car drives perfect. What issues were reported?

Well, my issues were:

Paint bubbling on both doors.
Water ingress destroying front loom
Water ingress destroying front fuse box
Paint flaw on bonnet
Damaged interior tailgate liner
Faulty battery
Intermittent failure to start
Failed driver side door mirror motor
Failed clutch bearing
Failed clutch
Faulty gearbox
Failed flywheel

I think that was it, but I might have missed some….

Oh man that sucks I'm sorry to hear, is the dealership going to take care of it?

That INSANE...i'D RETURN IT UNDER THE LEMON LAW

Lotus problems. Am I right? Had an Evora for 14 years and was mechanically rock solid. Fit and finish? not so much. Most problems taken care of under warranty.
So far, my 2024 FE has been problem free. Of course, I only have 2k miles on it. We shall see

As others have said, it's a [mostly] hand-built British sportscar. As expected, with a new car from a new factory, being built by a mostly new workforce, it has had some hiccups it's first couple years. Nothing really too major except the paint issues and other fairly minor stuff from the initial batch sitting outside at Hethel and the ports for months and months. I've been here since years before launch and have a couple close friends with Emiras that have been reliable. One has a CEL constantly but that's just because he hasn't taken it to the dealer to get the code sorted and cleared. That being said, I did cancel my own early Emira deposit because I didn't like the way things were going. They're doing better now and the dealer network is growing, so that's something.. Either way, it's lightyears more reliable (and less expensive) than a Ferrari or McKaren. You can actually daily drive these cars and push them to their limits without breaking something and financially crippling yourself.

My Evora 400, which I had for 12 months, had the following faults:

Faulty brake switch
Leaking intercooler radiator
Leaking radiator (not sure if this was the engine or HVAC)
Failed air conditioning compressor
Seat trim (drivers and passenger) unclipping (needed a coach trimmer to clip and glue it to stay put)

I don't think I've ever heard the term "McKaren", but you got a solid laugh from me... do they (or owners) really have the reputation you imply? :)

I will say (touching all wooden things within reach) that my example has been totally reliable as a daily(ish) driver, and the only thing that got me so far was the paint bubbling. I wanted something fun that wasn't going to make me sweat about unforeseen consequences of just using the damn thing as often as possible, so still really happy with my choice, and loving every drive. 👍👍

Haha, I just heard it at yesterday's C&C. More so about the cars being annoying and problematic, not so much the owners.

I mean this is absolutely insane. Very hard for me to pull the trigger with stories like this out there.

I've had mine since July of last year, right around 1300 miles on it, and other than an issue with paint on the front bumper at delivery (damaged at the Port, NOT bubbling, etc) that was resolved by the dealer, I've had zero issues. Granted the car is garaged and only driven in good weather. I do use a foam cannon/pressure washer when washing the car though, and no 'leaks' that I've found.

Don't get me wrong, I've been a long term owner of an Elise and currently have an Exige S and they've had their quirks and issues but literally not one thing I wasn't able to resolve in my own garage. It sounds like these Emira issues are of a completely different nature in terms of what's called for in getting them resolved.
