New owner in Bay Area, CA. Picked up an Emira to complement my Elise

Hi All,

I've had an Elise since 2008 and I got the itch for a new car, and after test driving a bunch of really cool cars, I decided to go with another Lotus. I figure with each being broken half the time, between the two of them, I'll have one car. This is my 6MT yellow Emira, next to its little predecessor and in the corkscrew of Laguna Seca.

This was an orphaned car that someone ordered and couldn't purchase when if finally arrived years later, so I've got the touring suspension. It's reasonable on track, but not great. This will be addressed!

Welcome to the Forum and great first post with your 2 sister Lotus (some say "Loti" which is supposedly very incorrrect; lol). Hopefully your prediction about the Emira's reliability will prove wrong. Like many others, I've not had issues with mine.

Welcome, and congrats on your new acquisition. Was wondering if you got an FE2.0 Emira. Mine has TPMS replaced on all tires but no issues aside from that. Great car.

I live just a couple of miles from Laguna Seca..hoping to get the Emira there soon.

Same. Cheap to operate, very tossable, lots of torque, and I love the sound. Just wish I could drive it more places. I bought mine with a pedal kit to try and make it look semi-legal. The pedal kit was garbage though so I took it off. Now I just ride the rail trail and beaches around my area.
