Just dropping in to say hello! Took delivery today of my 2024 Emira First Edition with the Supercharged V6 and manual transmission, Sport suspension and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

My build is Seneca Blue with Full Black Pack, Black Leather / Alcantara with yellow stitching. The car has the gloss black Forged wheels, yellow calipers, privacy glass, sport pedals and mats, and the KEF Audio.

The car drives amazing! Can’t wait for the warmer weather to return.

Welcome and Good Luck with your Emira...Waiting for all the salt to go away.

Congrats! Killer spec. Similar to the one I originally ordered. I'm in Wilmington if you ever want to meet up for a cruise or even hit up NJMP for a track day. 😎🤙🏽

Welcome! I’m in Philly, twinzy spec. Curious did the dealer say anything about the cup 2s being driven on at the temps we’ve been seeing? Michelin says they shouldn’t be stored or driven near freezing. I took mine off as a precaution. Although mine don’t have much life left after a few aggressive track days last fall.

I cannot comment on the cup 2's as I spec'd the Goodyears. But even so, the dealer did not mention anything to me. I haven't been driving in the current extreme temps (sub 20F) but I did have the car out once in the mid 20's and didn't experience any grip issues. For comparison, my M4 had Michelin Pilot Sports, and any temperature below 30F the car might as well have been on ice skates. Regardless, I know these temperatures are not great for the longevity of the rubber, but honestly, I was going to switch to PS4's anyway.

Even the Goodyear F1s shouldn't be driven below 40. It's not just a grip issue, but the compound can break down and crack. Neither the Cup2s or the F1s (or PS4s or ECS02s or any extreme summer tires) should be driven or stored below 40. I bought DWS06s for winter and store my summer wheels during winter.

If you must store them below 40 for an extended period, they should be gradually warmed up before driving.

Unfortunately for some of us without a garage in the Northeast, we make do with what we can. Though I definitely avoid driving it when it's cold AND wet.

How do we warm up the tires before driving? (No F1 tire blankets here). I may go a bit easy on them to let them warm up when I start the drive though.
