OBD II reader/scanner recommendations

Got this one, cheap and works perfectly for reading and deleting codes:

Been using the KIWI4 and OBD Fusion with great results including Carplay App which you can select what you can see on screen.

Will this clear all dtcs in every module?
I’ve used the blue driver to clear all the CELs and it’s worked for me (CELs related to o2 sensors, etc). The only thing it didn’t clear is the airbag light after the carbon bucket seats install. I believe you need a lotus tool once you bypass the airbag warning light

Ok idk how many modules are in the Emira storing dtcs. Recently changed battery and I heard you have to clear dtcs after idk if that’s true. But dealer is 3 hours away so would like to know if any dtcs popped up that I have to clear, my concern is it won’t see everything.

When I changed my battery I didn’t have to clear anything. Didn’t get any codes that I needed to clear

Oh ok you check with the scanner and nothing showed?

Yeah I had the car unlocked all doors closed and trunk open key was in the house. I let it sit like that for an hour before I changed it. So I think I should be good too but trying to ensure I do everything right.

No, when I plugged in the new battery no codes showed up at all so there was no need to plug it in and clear anything. Not sure a new battery throws any codes as I haven’t heard of that in any car. I wouldn’t worry about cleaning any codes if it doesn’t show up on the dash

I only used the scanner when I got CELs but not battery related
