Paint issues? Does Your Car Live in a Garage or Outside?

At the moment Lotus insist it is 3 years warranty, as my previous posts have stated. The metal strip again, it clearly isn't as the rear hatch and rear 1/4 panels are also affected. The rear hatch on mine had its first bubble appear and a replacement is on order.

Re the warranty. Surely it was in writing somewhere in the documents handed over with the car at point of sale? I don’t have mine yet so can’t check but most booklets, handbooks on previous cars state the warranty somewhere

Dealers and service centres still saying its 5 years, Lotus insisting its 3 years. Didnt get mine new so I can't say what the documentation said.

It will date relevant of when the car was first sold. Sometime around September 2024 Lotus changed the website wording from 5yrs to 3yrs

There is a degree of risk but I personally believe the sentiment that Lotus don’t have a leg to stand on with cars sold with a 5 year warranty. No court would side with them. It’s pretty black and white. They just want to make it hard for the first person to try it.
