Hi.

I have both of my side mirrors set to lower when reversing. About a month ago I noticed that the passenger mirror was not returning to the correct position. It does attempt to move back (it moves back to the correct horizontal/left/right position but doesn't move far enough in the vertical direction). Pressing the seat/mirror memory button then causes the mirror to return to exactly the right position.

In the first five months of ownership the mirror worked perfectly - and I really like the fact that both mirrors can be set to drop. The fault with the left mirror seems very strange to me - it's almost as though it has a second, incorrect position stored. I have checked - it has nothing to do with the second seat/mirror memory as I have both memory 1 and 2 set to basically the same position.

My local dealer (Hendy Performance in Eastleigh, Southampton) had the car before Christmas to look at the issue and applied some software updates. This appeared to cure the problem for a few days but, unfortunately, the issue has returned.

The driver's side mirror works perfectly btw.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

My car has exactly the same problem, but if that is the only fault I encounter after reading some of the horror stories on here i can live with it

Yes - I totally agree. This is a very minor problem. Having said that, in 5 months of ownership, other than this issue, my car has been absolutely perfect.

My car has never done this. Eg tilting in reverse

I looked and there’s a setting in the infotainment. Try turning that on and off

I’ve now turned it on

This happened to me at cold temperatures (~30F / -1C). I thought someone hit the side mirror on purpose. When I got the car back home, all I did was turn it off and on a few times, and the mirror sorted itself out.

Edit: To clarify, I meant when the mirrors fold in and out.

Yes - I'm aware of those settings. Unfortunately the problem persists when the mirror drop setting is turned off and on..I have tried multiple times :-(

Pleased to hear you resolved your problem. My issue doesn't relate to the mirrors folding in and out. My issue relates to the positioning of the mirror glass (when the mirrors are folded out).
