Awesome isn't it. Great to see companies out there still making cars like this
Yes, but more often than not... Admin gets the best of them.....
I dont mean filing papers.... I mean going into Administration....
It looks good, it sounds great..... warranty will suck... build quality.. you would have to live with it to actually see it, but anything hand made, including you...has its faults... and you more than most obviously.
It is possible, as in Ariels case, to really put some effort into quality / good parts / well put together.... but with these guys, you would want to see that for yourself before taking the leap.
This last aspect I feel would made the difference between it being an Ariel that doesnt lose much money, or a Zeon or whatever they were called (ex lotus guys) who disappeared to South Africa and their cars go for a song.
I think..... but not often...... the noise is great and important, but its also nice to have the option of less of it.... I like listening to Leonard...Cohen..... when driving.... and in this thing, I am not sure you would hear your g/f complaining or screaming in ecstasy, which ever comes first.... no pun intended again.....
IF it was 20-30k more than a Caterham... I could see it as an option for me.... but as you say, you are really looking at 110k with the window screen, roof, wipers, BSA..I mean ABS, A nice colour etc.
110k, which if I thought it would depreciate as slow as a Caterham, then again, maybe........ but thats a lot of maybe's

Is there anything else out there that looks like this, apart from the Green Eadon Zeclat???

Im in love with this style look for a car.

In all honesty I can't see it pulling me away from the emira as my main requirement was a bit more of a use able fun car. But when you see such cool retro looks as that, you can't help but delve a little deeper.
Price and after sales will eventually make my head win the battle, but I'll enjoy going for a look see!

Yes, for me it has that 60s look, similar to an Alfa TZ and there were some stunning looking cars in that period. Ferrari 250 SWB, Miura and Alfa T33 Stradale come to mind.

Incidentally, how have Jannarelly got the weight to 850kg with a tubular chassis and a V6 engine if the Emira with alloy everything and plastic body weighs 70% more?

It has a lot of carbon and not a lot else on the way of comforts.
Think smaller roadster exige made of carbon and no supercharger

No front crash structure, no side impact bars, no airbags, no seatbelt pretensioners …..
