So here's mine, next to @T6061's Emira at the PPF shop. Plan to keep it for now, but destined to be the garage queen when my Emira arrives, at least in the short term.

2017 F-Type R. The last Jag I owned was an E Type decades ago, it was so bad that I swore I would never own another Jag. Flash forward into the 21 century, I’m at the Lotus dealer having my Elise serviced and I talked to the service manager about the maintenance comparison between an Evora and an F Type. His conversation led me to purchase the Jag over the Evora, and boy was he right. In the 7 years I owned the car two sensors failed ( covered by warranty) and that was it. The body, interior and that wonderful engine were still like new the day we parted company. I have to say I really miss the power and the high speed cruising capability of the R. The steering wasn’t as communicative as the Evora so finding its limits was more of a challenge but once you adapted to its style it was surprising how well it would dance on back country roads.
For years I’ve heard that Jaguars were crap and for a long time they certainly were, but apparently there were huge changes and I would rate the F type as the best car I’ve ever owned. Sadly, so far the Emira has been a big disappointment with poor quality paint (factory defects)interior problems (seats self destructing) electrical faults ( wet/failing HVAC resistor pack) all before 1000 miles.

Am I the only one on this forum who added an Emira to their car collection? :unsure:
No, my wife hates me, but I have two cars in the garage now (photos not taken at the same time as the Evora is in annual service), but my perfect two car garage. I’m finding the Emira to be a more attractive, more comfortable version of the Emira, but the evora is more analog and rarer - so need to keep both, at least for now.

E39 is easily the best 5 series I’ve ver driven.
If ya know, ya know. The 530 had the advantage of rack&pinion plus aluminum (lighter) front subrame, but the 540 has a great grown up V8 character. It is just something that I can't find a reason to sell. The "gentleman's express".

Word on the street is that the “m5” Clive Owen used to drive Madonna was actually a 540i. I would never sell it if I owned one!
 
My 540 self destructed and I couldn't give it away. Electronics went bonkers (the AC would just decide on it's own what fan speed it wanted, and if it wanted to be mean that day, would simply ramp it up and down between full speed and zero randomly), and all the pixels in the displays began winking off until I could no longer read the odometer (It was the ribbon cable assembly I was told later). And every 6 months, one of the power windows would break. Since the motor is the same assembly, the motor had to be replaced too. I know I replaced some more than once, so the cycle kept repeating. And then the paint failed and started chipping on the roof and trunk, even though the car was garaged most of its life. True it was a 97 that I bought in 99 and I had it for 18 years. But that V8 just SANG! when you got into it. But....major money pit. Sadly sold it off for a pittance. Between that and my wife's old Mercedes, I swear I don't want to own any old German cars ever again. Maybe this has prepared me for my Emira but I hope not!

A 2020 Miot . I'll update when my Emira is here but from my test drive and track sessions in the Emiras here are my thoughts.
The Emira feels planted and powerful, compared to the Miata being light and flickable. I feel my impressions will change as I get used to driving the Emira, but powersliding the Miot around corners was easy and natural. Almost second nature. I love the feel through the wheel and suspension in the Emira. The ND2 felt good there, but could have been a little more lively. That said both of these cars feel much better than the C8 which is powerful, but has a pretty numb feel.
 
Exige V6 350 - was soooo much fun but not overly for passengers etc as its hard to get in, not overly comfortable albeit we did some cool road trips in with a rucksack or two.

I was worried I would really regret swapping and in an ideal world I would have both. However, very pleased so far with the trade!

I sold my Caterham 420R after 3 years of ownership. It was brilliant and on the right road with the right weather, the ‘highs’ were unreal. Sublime on track, bonkers on the road and sadly with the UK weather, not enough opportunity to use it.

Delighted with my Emira, more useable of course but also a joy to drive, much improved with the 3rd decat and valve controller.

The Caterham attracted a lot of attention from others, I’d say the Emira is on the same level, even in a much more subtle shade (I’m NG).
 
My Elise SC "Cup" (2010). Owned this car for 11 years and bought all the toys for it including exhaust, induction, aero etc. It dyno'd 243hp when done!

Things I miss: the rawness, the noise, the brutal sense of acceleration compared to the Emira, the reliability, the soft top and the fact that I was less 'precious' about where I took it and how I drove it.

Things I don't miss / love about the Emira: the overall package, the comfort, the looks.

Overall still enjoying the Emira but on the fence. My original plan had been to move to an Exige V6, but the Emira tempted me in the last year or so.

Haven't received by Emira yet but I will be replacing my manual Supra with it. Had the Supra for over a year and it's been a really great sports car. In stock form it's very refined and a great daily (poor visibility thou), and this platform has so much potential. But I still prefer the raw and mechanical feeling of the Emira. I had another daily so wanted more occasion with the sports car.

Will p/u my Emira in "4 more sleeps"; feels like Christmas approaching, when I was a tad younger (lol). Traded in my 2023 Corvette Stingray convertible (photo below) for it; loved the C8 (my second one since I was lucky enough to get a first MY 2020). Will miss having a convertible and (oddly enough) the heads-up display in particular. The things people will do for a stick shift!

Emira on sports / cup2s joined my 2015 Challenger 392. I plan to hold on to both as long as possible. There are some similarities. A raw and engaging driving experience filled with adrenaline. Good comfort, albeit more in the 392.

The 392's V8 is its centerpiece and it loves to be revved. It's loud, angry and urgent. The handling is neutral and the limits are easily accessed on the street. Managing the size and power oversteer characterize the raucous driving experience, which calms down at low throttle. The steering is direct with a quick ratio and the shifter is satisfying. It's a riot.

In contrast, the Emira is serious and refined. The steering, shifter, clutch and brakes are much more direct and responsive in comparison. It's more nimble and the limits aren't accessible. It's a sum of its parts and responds more faithfully to the driver. It has more road noise in the cabin during cruising, yet less engine noise under throttle although there's more character in the exhaust note. Overall, it's not as playful or frenetic as the 392 and lacks the top end power, yet it's feedback and exoticness result in a more dramatic driving experience.
