I've got a long road trip coming up from Vancouver BC to Portland and back, roughly 800 miles or so. How has everyone's reliability been so far, any commonly seen critical issues? Trying to not break down in the middle of nowhere 🤞.

My wife and I just got back from a 4000 mile, 14 day road trip which included a 5 day 1000 mile time/speed/distance rally - no issues whatsoever.

Car is meant to be driven so I’d “go for it”. Perhaps easy for me to say, since I’ve had no problems with mine. But if you’re the same, that should give you some confidence. Just figure out the location of nearby Lotus dealers ahead of time and make sure you’ve got a flat repair kit to go along with your supplied compressor, gunk and tow hook.

I drove just over 700 miles round-trip to Salt Lake City and back, no problems. Car ran great. There's a Lotus dealer (Park Place Lotus) in Bellevue, Washington (near Seattle) in case you run into any issues.

6750 miles since May 17 delivery...two issues, neither of which impacted driving the car (small paint bubble on the front bumper and a snapped trim tab on the driver seat controls panel - both fixed by the dealer under warranty. Temps stabilize at 200 degrees no matter the outside temp. Literally drive it every day.

Yes sir! I’ve put over 7500 on mine since I got it in April. Drove it 800 miles home the first weekend I got it. 500 miles to Vermont a few weeks after that and then an awesome 2k mile round trip to the tail of the dragon over the summer.

Initially had some trunk issues (trunk latch needed to be replaced) and most recently o2 sensors that needed to be replaced but no issues that affected the trips!

We are currently 2000km in to what will be a 4000km round trip over two weeks.

Car has been perfect. Not a single thing has gone wrong and it’s been a blast.

My advice to anyone re a long trip is to just do it.

Anecdotal of course, but we did a 1,200 mile trek to complete the break-in on our 300 mile car.

Had some minor concerns as we travelled on secondary roads in some remote areas often without cellular service.

The reward was a few days of stellar driving and scenery through Kentucky and Tennessee…

I’ve done two 400 mile road trips without issue, but a third road trip that ended quickly after a CEL came on and resulted in engine power loss. Restarting didn’t help, and it turned out to be a failed Mass Airflow Sensor that took 3 weeks to diagnose and fix.

I did 1000 miles in 72 hours with nary an issue. I did keep an OBDII reader with me, but never needed it. Now I'm about 2500 miles and still trouble-free.

Drove loop from Durango CO to San Juan Islands WA, down Oregon Coast on 101. The handling and cabin comfort amazing. No mechanical issues!
Prepare for enthusiastic reactions to your beautiful car, wherever you go.

I did a 1400 mile rally into Canada along the north shore of Lake Superior. Car was comfortable and a blast to drive, no issues.
